Both are saying that they want the fight. Duva wants it as well.

I think right now Kovalev still beats anyone at Light Heavyweight, since the king retired. Kovalev is a massive step up from any opponent Beterbiev has faced in his professional career. Would need to see Beterbiev with a couple of defences against world level opposition before I'd back him against Kov

I want to see what Kovalev has left.

If he's anywhere near his peak I'll pick him, but if he's lost his motivation than Beterbiev it is.

If Kovalev can get back to his best form, he beats Beterbiev.

Kov`s jab was good enough to beat any other light heavy in the Ward fight, it`s just that Ward adjusted and went to the body I doubt whether any other light heavy now is as savvy as Ward.

Is Beterbiev known for his body work or do you think he will study the Ward fight? He still needs to get past that great jab.

He's got to study the Ward fight, and he has a good body attack.. but honestly Kovalev has lost his fire, and you're going to need a lot of it to beat a guy like Beterbiev.

Kovalev will KO Slava cold in 3 rounds or less.

    I highly doubt it.

Slava will get KO'ed early I think, he has an awful chin.

Watch his fight vs Paul Parker or Barrera to see how easily he gets hurt.

Kovalev stops Beterbiev, let's get this straight everybody, Chilemba is a defensively responsible spoiler who fights off the backfoot, Hopkins is a defensively responsible MASTER spoiler who fights off the backfoot, Ward is a defensively responsible INCREDIBLE MASTER spoiler who fights off the backfoot, these 3 guys are practically IMPOSSIBLE to look good against, and Kovalev arguably holds wins over all 3 of them.

Guess what Beterbiev is... a come forward aggressor, Kovalev fights well at range, and has maybe one of the best jabs in the sport, Betebiev will have a hell of a hard time getting in range, he's not what I'd call a defensive master, as in, he doesn't have the ability to duck in low at awkward angles to land jab after jab to the belt line of Kovalev, or the ability to tie him up incessantly and wriggle and wrestle him around the ring to wear his ass down, all in an effort to wear him out and KO him late. He comes forward, and whether people want to admit it or not, is very easy to hit. That is a recipe for disaster against Kovalev, if Ward had fought Kovalev like that or had Hopkins, neither would have made it past the 3 round.

That's cool and all, but this isn't the killer Kovalev of past years were talking about. I think he struggles to find his old self in this one, and probably wins the fight looking terrible in the process whether it be a KO, TKO or decision.

    We'll see :)

I just think Slava's chin is so terrible that Kovalev won't even need to be at 50%. Kovalev might look awful for a few rounds, but once he catches Slava that's the end surely.

He's easy to hit and easy to hurt, Kovalev's power is every bit as deadly as its always been, Slava plays to his strengths, not his weaknesses. It won't even be competitive, I'm actually scared for Slava here, I'm afraid he's going to have to be stretchered out of the ring.
