I hear all the time that "Pac is a cheater, went from Flyweight to Welterweight and beat everybody down viciously". That's not true, he won titles from 112-154, but the power started leaving as soon as he left 126. He was an absolute vicious monster at the lower weights. Especially at Featherweight the guy was like a can of red bull gone crazy. He pretty much destroyed everybody at 122-126. Single shot power and when he hit you either went down, out or immediately backed the **** up.

Enter the 130 pound division he still hits hard, but he's no longer a massive banger, just a hard puncher. He wears you down and can still drop you hard with a single shot if he lands real solid, but doesn't do it every single fight like he did at 122 and 126.

Enter the 135 pound division, Diaz actually takes his power pretty well. He's just overwhelmed by the speed and volume of Pac. Diaz even says after the fight it wasn't the power he was just too fast. No fighter could have taken that power at 126.

At 140 he reverted back to his old self of 126 for one fight against Hatton when he started dropping Hatton with single shots and iced him with 1 shot too. That was an anomaly. It's an outlier in the higher weight class career of Manny Pacquiao.

The only other KO's he has at WW are DLH who was old and slow and Pac didn't even really hurt him. DLH just took too much volume. And the Cotto fight where Cotto took bomb after bomb after bomb before finally crumbling in the 12th round. Pac looked hardly like a banger in that fight. Just too much volume and speed.

Manny Pacquiao actually has a 19 percent KO rate above 135 pounds. Why? Because he started to lose power after he left Featherweight. He just overcame natural size disadvantages. He is a legend after all.

Real knowledgeable and unbiased fans already know this. Its why i always found it funny that Floyd and his father would go on and on about how manny moved up in weight knocking everybody out in one interview then in another they go on about he dont deserve to fight floyd because he cant knock nobody out anymore. It was the same with the fans. Mannys last real ko was Hatton. A blown up lw who had already been kod by light hitting floyd. Manny wore cotto and oscar down thats why those were kos.

You don't always have to knock a guy out to destroy them.. Pacs speed and combination was sometimes enough to put a thorough beating on someone, not named Floyd Mayweather!! Pac was a beast in his prime years, there' no disputing that.

He was clearly on the sauce, Roach and Ariza already confirmed it. You can deny it all you want to, won't make a diff.

My favorite one is when they say he stopped taking drugs magically at the exact same time he moved to Welterweight.

Pac carries boxing for a full decade from icing of Ledwaba in his U.S. debut in 2001 till disputed win over Marquez 3/ disputed loss over Bradley in 2012.
Best run in boxing from a great fighter.

Pac was a real special fighter, but has been cheated a few times. He sure knocked Cotto out badly!

It was just so bizarre, this idea that Pacquiao moved up in weight and destroyed everybody with power. No he did not. At WW he was a pure accumulation puncher except for 1 fight and he almost never knocked anybody out. It's like damn man, do you have eyes. Mayweather goes on and on about Manny moving up in weight and destroying people, when all he was doing was launching extreme volume and scoring mostly points victory.

PAC was was able to carry some power up with him but not the knockout power he had in the lower weight classes. After 135 the impact of his punches didn’t have the same effect on much larger men. He was still very fast and explosive but the stoppage came from wearing down his bigger and slower opponents with an accumulation of sharp power shots. The Hatton KO was just a combination of staggering Ricky the round before, hurting him badly and landing one of the most perfectly timed and well placed counters that put the lights out. I think that knockout is what gave the perception that Manny had carried his power up with him all the way up to welterweight. Paulie Malinaggi could have KO’d Ricky if he landed that shot. .....That’s a bit of a stretch but the point is those kinds of punches don’t typically happen

    Uh..no.

Not even close to the best run lmfao, Floyd had a vastly better run from 1998>2016.

And let's not forget the fact that Pacquiao was on the juice.

Pac has had 1 fight above 130 where he looked like a very hard hitter which was the Hatton fight. Other than that he hasn't been a power puncher since he left 130 and he hasn't been a massive banger since he left 122 and 126.
