10 pounds is a significant weight advantage when the weigh in weight is only 130. Rigondeaux was said to have been outweighed by more than 20 pounds against Amagasa, and more than 15 by Donaire. That is very significant at such a small weight class.

 

Blame Arum for the fight not happening at 126, he only offered Rigondeaux 400K according to Loma and his manager. Loma said the weight and everything was agreed to.

Why would Rigondeaux fight him for 400K? He even stated, he'll take the fight but not for pennies. He got 500k for Amagasa, and 750K for Donaire. Arum blocked it from happening the first time by lowballing Rigondeaux's purse for the fight. Arum is willing to make the fight now, because he's far more confident in Lomachenko winning with his significant size advantage, and Rigondeaux being two years older now.

Jazza Dickens wasn't no damn pound for pound guy, and had no following. Lomachenko has built himself into a pound for pound guy, and has some interest now. So of course Rigondeaux should be paid more than 400K. He should more than what he got to fight Donaire.
