Round 1

Clark is holding out the right jab without falling in behind it, able to use his massive reach and height advantage to just avalanche the occasional jab down past Dolton's guard from due north, all while hanging back outside Dolton's countering range. Dolton is diligently putting up his left glove, palm out, ready to parry what he can and carefully push his way in without rushing in blind. Feeling out round, chess match early. Dolton looking for weaknesses. Clark just content to utilize his physical advantages, scoring points with light jabs and long lead lefts on the body.

Round 2

Clark is keeping Dolton at the end of the long unfurling octopus-tentacle southpaw jab. Dolton is unable to get close to do anything offensively, and knows it. He's letting Clark take some early 10-9's here, shrugging them away fully cognizant that he needs to wait for some gas tank depletion and/or set a strategic trap in order to do anything to overcome Clark's massive tale-of-the-tape and athleticism edge. Dolton is lobbing a few compulsory light 1-2s into the upheld forearms coming in but quickly shells up again, keeping a responsible defense. A few brief clinches.

Round 3

Dolton is coming forward more and letting his mitts go, firing combos but getting easily picked off by the much longer and lither Clark. Reach-in jabs from a distance by Clark, stemming the flow of any offensive surge Dolton puts together. More spirited efforts now from Dolton, swarming and slashing upward at Clark's torso and chest with straight combos. Easily blocking and countering with the jab, Clark remains out of range with simple sliding steps.

Round 4

Very bad headbutt, and Clark is cut. Very deep and gushy cut. This might end up being a fight-halter. If we finish out the fourth that means a likely technical decision shutout for Clark; if they call it earlier then a No Contest. Ref did officially rule the cut was from a butt. Dolton is taking advantage once they call time in, continuing to swarm and now ramming his right fist (and wrist and lower forearm, unseen by the ref) into the side of the head of the half-blinded Clark. Dolton haranguing Clark across the ring, giving him no room to breathe. Nothing coming back from Clark except a few stay-off-me jabs.

Round 5

Dolton is putting Clark on the backfoot and getting tied up when he gets inside. Dolton pool-cuing Clark into the ropes with the straight right on the diaphragm and then batting up top with a quick, telegraphy-key left hook on the temple. Clark is loading up big left uppercuts, springing ambushes with the rear hand dangling behind the far hip after sagging at the knees and lying in wait to pounce on Dolton coming in.

Round 6

Dolton is bullying Clark, staying just inside his southpaw jab. Dolton positioning himself in Clark's wheelhouse, taking away Clark's more effective long-range snap he gets on his punches with full extension. Dolton is baiting Clark, drawing the jab from him and then yanking his head back and boomeranging in with left hooks and high spearing rights. Clark doing lots of clinching as Dolton walks him into the ropes. Clark putting out the long right jab low, sticking it on Dolton's waist and trying to hold him still to slow his roll.
