    Some think so.

And, who believes that Hearns hit harder than Buster Douglas? I think if Douglas fought welter's to cruiser's, he'd look as much a devastating puncher as Hearns.

Let's replace Razor Ruddock with Tommy Hearns. I highly doubt that Hearns would even buzz Tyson without hitting him first with a comically absurd number of punches. And I doubt that Hearns hit harder than say, Michael Spinks at LHW, let alone heavyweight.

Hearns is a monster puncher at 147 and 154, his power aint stretching to Heavy. I think he wanted the big pay day. I'm sure you would see pure fear in Hearns face in the centre of the ring against Tyson. He'd get humiliated in seconds not minutes !

It’s an interesting one but I feel even a distracted Tyson would be able to KO hearns (early too). Hearns had the height and reach to cause Tyson problems but I genuinely doubt he’d be able to take the power and I’m not sure if he would hit hard enough at 200+ lbs

No. Tyson would mow him down. Hearns couldn't budge Hagler. But he did break his hand by poking a hole in his head but Hagler quickly turned that around.

    No

Tyson kos Hearns early. Tyson would use his vast advantage in strength to get inside Hearn's reach and takes him out, probably with one left hook or right hand. Hearns didn't have great power at 175 lbs. And, he doesn't have the chin to take Tysons shots. He certainly isn't koing a stronger, harder punching natural 220 lb. guy with decent handspeed, who can also take a punch.

This is the same Tyson that walked right into Lewis' best punches for 8 rounds straight. The same Tyson that took monster shots from Ruddock point blank on the chin and didn't falter. The man had a legit heavyweight chin and it took a massive shellacking from 200+ pound bombers to keep him down. Hearns' best weight was 154 ffs. He isn't doing **** to Tyson. Drop this charade.

Your distaste for Tyson clouds your judgment in any thread related to him.

In this section? Most definitely. In the general section? Not a chance.:)

And the posters who suggest that Hearns has a chance should have their own poll for village idiot award. :ura:

Tyson took Ruddock's power and I seriously doubt that Hearns packed that much of a wallop at any weight. Pressure fighters weren't Hearns' strongsuit and Tyson was incredibly strong and had speed to match Hearns. Maybe he was even faster around '90-'91.

Fight wouldn't last more than 3 rounds with Tyson being the executioner.

The fanatics are in full force tonight, what monster punching jumped up welterweight did Tyson ever beat? Hearns would be too fast for Tyson, like a Pereguine Falcon wiping out a much larger Hawk.

You call objective posters "fanatics." Look in the mirror. You are the subjective one.

Tyson was far from my favorite fighter. But I try to objectively analyze all matchups, no matter what I personally think about a given fighter.

When this thread is done, you likely will find yourself being the only one not picking Tyson. Is everyone else in the thread a Tyson fanatic? Hardly. But, there is one poster whose judgment is clouded beyond reason when it involves Tyson. That poster is you.

....or you are just a troll looking for attention.

    Either way, you are wrong.

BTW: "monster punching welterweight." Is that your argument, really? LOLLLLLLLLL

I'll agree that Hearns may have beaten Mayweather....that's the best I can do for you.
