Takes a solid hit and turns into a human octopus. Lookin back reminds me what a fraud this guy was. Without his illegal holding he would never have made all those defenses. The guy was a joke.

It wasn't his chin as such that was his big problem, it was that he panicked and gassed. It was his compose that was lacking more than his chin.

He showed this against Joshua that he could take hard punches and come back because he hd required this composure.

Notice the ref just stood there and allowed Wlad weather the storm by pushing Haye down. Disgraceful. The HW Sven Ottke

He was very protected by refs, that's true. That sequence is just comical when it comes to what the ref let's him get away with. The ref then motions for Haye to get up, like the whole thing was a ruse from him... Despicable, really.

Wlad beat Haye like a drum. Haye managed to land 1 good shot and Dino spooged his pants

No he wasn't. You're thinking of Wilder when he fought Firtha.

Wlad has a much worse chin than Joe Louis, or even Lennox Louis.

No, he has a superior chin to Louis and a lesser chin to Lennox.

    Louis's chin was shockingly bad.

Muhammad Ali and Lennox Lewis used that same tactic. Ali did it best with the holding. Lewis did it best with leaning on their backs. Wladimir combined the two.

Haye was smart enough not to fight it too much and waste his energy.

I think perhaps referees are too lazy and weak to get involved in heavyweight action too.

Wlad for sure wasn't the only one to use that tactic, but when fighting in Germany the leniency from refs was just ridiculous. Ali also had fights where he was allowed to hold far too much and probably Lewis too, but that doesn't change the fact that Wlad was very protected by refs when fighting at hone soil and using this tactic. The Povetkin fight was very bad, as well.

And that sequence with Haye might have been the worst I've ever seen in a title fight when it comes to turning a blind eye to blatant holding. That's incompetence bordering on corruption from the ref.

Wlad became a deer in headlights when rocked. Steward taught him the big bear hug which stunk out heavyweight boxing for a long time. Yes, it was effective but against the rules of boxing. Because of his other gifts he was able to dominate but his chin / recuperative powers are 5/10 for me.

PS AJ beat the worst version of Wlad since Steward, nothing to go crazy over. AJs proof will be against the Parker, Ortiz and upcoming decent hws.
