So sad. This referee should have banned for life.

If you've ever took a punch or a cuff to the back of the head you know why its banned Rabbit punching. Don't take anywhere near the power to **** u up like the rest of the head. I agree, 1 shot warning then your out ! It lingers too longer

Nothing happens to ref. It's BS!

    No fine, ban or suspension.

Is that right, having never boxed it just looks so innocuous to me but clearly I’m way off the mark right?
Conor McGregor v Floyd just couldn’t stop himself doing it and the ref there never did much, why is it so dangerous as appose to being hit flush on the chin say?

Rabbit punches are very dangerous indeed.

It's one thing you're not expected to have to defend against in martial arts.

A lot of people criticised the ref for resetting Mir vs Lesnar but this is exactly why it should always be picked up on.

It's just awful that the lost coherent thought Colon had was one of fear because he was getting dizzy and his legs weren't working. Imagine being stuck in that frame of mind forever. Just awful.

Ah ok with you,one thing getting KOd from being hit on the chin and the rattle of the head/brain but the rabbit punch is directly on the brain with zero room between skull n brain.

softer area. I've been punched in the back of the head and I couldn't feel my legs for ages, pure numb. Lot longer than a clip on the jaw

As far as I know it's a far more sensitive and fragile area of the body. Your head can absorb some damage, that same force applied against your brain stem would be traumatic.

Because it's a boxing unwritten rule the home fighters are allowed to get away with breaking the rules.

By hook or by crook, you've got to let the local fans have their money's worth.

Look at what Salido did vs Loma, or how Ward is systematically allowed to tackle, headbutt and low blow.

It's a referee corruption problem that isn't being addressed by the commissions because they're in the back pocket of the sanctioning organizations.
