If Haye wins or loses, what's next for him? I see him taking on Parker, then AJ (if he wins), retirement if he loses. If Bellew wins or loses? I see him facing Parker (if he wins), retiring if he loses. He won't go near the current CW lot.
I want both guys to make as much money as possible at the end of their careers because I think they both deserve it. If Haye wins, I'd like to see him take on Briggs first (for the bants largely) and then Parker ideally, but it depends on whether Parker hangs onto that belt. The other option would be Haye v Fury, winner takes on Joshua. Unlikely since Tyson said he'd never consider boxing Haye again but the money may make him change his mind. I believe Haye would be up for that. If Bellew wins, box Parker and then retire. He has no other option really. In reality if Haye does beat Bellew you can bet your arse there will be a trilogy fight in Liverpool.
I don't think they do. In all fairness to Haye, he's beat and took on some VERY legit comp. He was THE MAN @ CW. He cleared it out. He won a proper world title at HW and took on THE MAN in Wlad. What has Bellew done? He's avoiding everyone at CW (and it's the hottest it's EVER been, yet still calls himself THE MAN there). He's fighting a broken down, blown-up CW in Haye. He was getting beat and banjo'ed by Clev and Stevenson a while back! If it wasn't for his WWE antics he'd be nobody.
Bellew should go to Cruiser if he wins or loses but he won't. If he wins I think he'll target Parker. If he loses he'll retire or try and make a couple more mil in the 3rd but I don't think he'd get it. If Haye loses he'll retire, if he wins it's Joshua probably. He may want a fight in between Joshua but can't see him risking it if his body is as ****ed as rumoured.
Pulled twice against Fury in 2013 and 2014, plus another time in 2012. Has now pulled out of a rematch vs Bellew in another big fight Time to retire
Before March, he was getting in the ring with someone who was going to hospitalise him. Almost everybody thought he was going to get obliterated. Does he deserve no props for that? Only after their fight are we reading from people saying that Haye is just some broken down fighter. He was never going to get any credit was he. If he did get banjo’d then that’s what everyone expected, if he won (like he did) then Haye is shot to pieces. Bellew has had a cracking career. He got sparked at light heavy against Stevenson and Clev did him on points. There is no shame in those defeats and very few fighters go through their careers without going through setbacks. No matter what people say, he was a world cruiserweight champion...could end up being a heavyweight one too, yet.
Bellew's career is terrible. The only two times he's properly stepped up (Clev 1 and Stevenson) he lost. He's fought no one else decent. Haye couldn't walk let alone throw a meaningful punch from round 6 onwards, so no one should get props for stopping a one-legged man. He needs to fight 2/3 of the top dogs at CW. Even if he loses then at least he's had a crack. Up until now his career is at best average.
