I never said they used Jr.

I have always thought that Hearn used Jr to get Kell Brook a fight or at least always had Kell Brook in mind so had no incentive to negotiate with the Eubanks.

If GGG didn't agree to fight Brook, do you think Hearn would have given up on the Eubank fight?

Hearn is in it for himself, Kell Brook made it easy for him and agreed to all terms. If GGG said no to fight Brook, Hearn would have had no big fight.

Hearn would have had to negotiate with Jr, or no fight. Hearn threw them under the bus for his own gain.

So really GGG could have just passed on fighting a welterweight and said he was only interested in the Jr fight.

He would have come off better legacy wise but he still made huge money against an easy beat but still looked like a hypocrite after mocking Canelo fighting Khan.

LOL same. He still insists that 3G is boiling down to 160 and in reality, is actually a LARGE middleweight. You can't make this stuff up!

Golovkin flew all the way to UK to sign the contract with Eubank, when it came time to sign, Eubank ran like hell! Eubank refused to fight Golovkin! If Eubank wanted the fight he would have signed, hell, Saunders beat Eubank!

Jnr and Snr embarrassed themselves at the negotiating table with the GGG fight. Wanted Barry McGuigan commentating lol, wanted to organise the security for the event. He even wanted " the first dollar to drop in to Jnr's pocket" pmsl....When has he done that before or since negotiating ?? NO, Hearn turned to Brook because he was stuck really. He definitely would of gave up on Eubank if Brook had fell through with them demands. Eubank Snr made it difficult to avoid the fight. Why was Snr negotiating for all that and never in any other fight ?

I'm sure GGG would struggle against Super middleweight champions like Ramirez, Benavidez, DeGale or Dirrell.
So why would Golovkin move up? I really don't believe he will.

Unless he has to, of course, being unable to make weight at 160...

He is miles from the record. The defenses of the 'Regular' WBA belt when Sturm was WBA champion don't count for anything.

Only fight that's huge would be challenging cej after he sends groves to retirement.
Problem is at 168 cej batters ggg to A PULP. I have no heart to watch cej destroy my boi ggg. It's strictly a $$$ fight. I'd just hope ggg defends himself enough to enjoy retirement. Cej is ALL wrong for any 160/68 fighter

I saw cej best Saunders , didn't destroy him tho. Started too slow. But the cej of now is directly related to that bogus decision. He destroys opponent now. Goes got FOR ko early and gets it. That was the greatest terrible decision of our time

If GGG is making the 160lb weight limit easily and he can make the same money fighting winner of BJS/Lemmy or Jacobs as he can vs. DeGale or winner of the super middle tournament, why move up?

At this point in his career, it should be mostly about money, especially since the legacy defining action takes place at middleweight by beating Hopkins record defenses, unifying the WBO title and stamping himself as a top 10 middleweight ever. Maybe in 2019, after the super middleweight tournament concludes, there actually is a legacy defining fight there.

For 2018, GGG should stay at middleweight. After the Canelo rematch, Jacobs will deserve a rematch or he can unify vs BJS - Lemmy winner.
