Just listen to him. It's true he has been up to the gym.

Floyd really must have a fatalistic streak, its almost like he wants to taste defeat, I think its becoming a rush for him, something deep down makes him want to have a Wlad like ending, where he finishes his career fighting his heart out and getting stopped, and all the fans can remember him fondly. Which is why he should face Canelo or GGG, they'll give him his wish.

Both Canelo and GGG involuntarily drool a bit when thinking about getting Floyd in the ring. Sort of like my pitbull when I'm preparing the Sunday roast.

Floyd ain't fighting no evolved Canelo or Golovkin. He'd probably fight Devon Alexander.

I could see Floyd continuing for three reasons:

    1. This is all he's known.
    2. He can still make close to $100 million for one of his fights and over that much with the right opponent and promotion.
    3. He may just love the attention and the spotlight.

If the 1.3M PPV number for Canelo-GGG is true, Golovkin at 154 makes business sense for Floyd and another nice FU to Oscar, if he beats him before Canelo.

I find it interesting that after Floyd said "Canelo was at the top of the list of guys who would beat GGG", it's been radio silence from him since that fight happened.

I don't think Floyd is capable of making $100M+ without fighting a real threat. A rematch with McGregor wouldn't do nearly as well as the original....He can't fight a guy like Berto and expect 9 figures...he's really going to have to fight a real boxer that poses a viable threat for the general public to shell out $100 in PPV's. I don't think a rematch with Canelo is that fight...maybe GGG. Honestly I think the masses aren't excited for a Mayweather return.

He could still do 1 or 2 million with a real opponent in PPV buys but not 3 or 4 million at this point. His fight with Berto was under 1 million if I'm not mistaken? The McGregor fight was a spectacle and it roped in the general public because of the boxing vs MMA aspect and Conor was a tremendous salesman.

I would love to see Golovkin knock Void out, but Void is afraid of Golovkin, he will fight another who's recored is 0-0-0!

I hate floyd as much as anyone but at this point i honestly dont care. I never wanted to watch floyd lose just to lose. i wanted him to fight the best at their best and he never did.

I don't think any boxer is the 'type' to stay retired. Boxers come back for money, glory, but more than that because that's all they know how to do, and they want to feel independent and worthwhile. Coming back when they shouldn't and taking punches they shouldn't is just what boxers do. As long as Floyd can throw punches and move in a ring at any level we should expect he'll return eventually. If he's in close fights or loses or gets badly knocked out it'll just increase the likelihood of continuing even longer, and it won't matter if the purses and the fan attention fastly dwindles, like for Jones. Hope he proves me wrong, but I sense multiple knockout losses is as likely as never boxing again.
