George Groves vs Chris Eubank Jr WBSS Semifinal set for february 17 in the Manchester Arena

Interesting fight. Just wish Screwbank Jr. would have taken his beating from GGG like a man.

Off-topic, but I think Gilberto Ramirez would give Eubank problems with his height and reach.

 

putting my "money" on Groves by close UD

 

Great fight. For Eubank to win he'll have to deliver a good performance since Groves had the stylistic advantage.
If he gets past Groves he'll easily take home the trophy imo.

 

I think Smith is more of a problem for Eubank than Groves. Groves is a good mover but he does get caught. Froch caught him.

 

What have the undercards been like for these WBSS fights, if anyone knows?

Thinking of going to this but not hopeful the undercard will be all that

don't know the rest of the card, because that usually doesn't get covered over here. Probably tells you all you need to know about the quality.

 

callum smith is winning the tourney. but this fight is the most interesting.

 

don't know much about calllum but is he that much better then groves and eubank?

Can’t wait for this fight, if you were to composite the perfect fighter ( British ), jnr’s chin, punch resistance would almost certainly be at the top , now froch has retired. For this reason I think st George isn’t going to win, some of Eubanks recent fights have been impressive his hand speed and willingness to go Mano,Mano ticks all the boxes for me.

 

Jr's biggest flaw is his foot work, which is one of Groves strengths
Jr makes up for his lack of foot work with foot speed most of the time, but Groves also has great foot speed
