And if he really believes he will win he makes double in a rematch. Its pure insanity that Parker hasn't already signed a contract. This is the best payday he will ever get.
I don't see how fans can perceive somebody as ducking without knowing the financial side. How do you know if he's ducking them or they're ducking him without knowing the financial side? Parker's team hold the key just as much as Hearn. They could accept his terms just the same as he could accept theirs. It takes two to tango.
Yeah you're right given the circumstances. I feel its Hearns call because Parker gave him an initial offer of 40%, had that declined and then reduced it to 35% and still Hearn says no. In the end, youre right, it takes two to tango. I think what people should learn from this is that, if this fight doesnt happen, both teams are at fault.
Joshua fans are promoters, lawyers, managers, scientists, nutritionists, a-holes, and P.R reps, lmao. #Unprecedented
Anybody who thinks $8.6 mill to $11.79 mill is a low ball offer to a fighter that makes no more than 1-1.5 mill per fight needs their head testing. 30% is a lottery ticket for jospeh parker. canleo made around 12 mill from the floyd fight, parker could be close to that at 30%
Hearns is the biggest P.S in the sport! This is a duck for real! man i thought ggg fans were pathetic but hearns fans are the lamest of the sport! Btw i like joshua as a person
Why don't we atleast wait until negotiations are dead before we call teams out for ducking... its an ongoing process.
Has a champ ever refused a 65/35 split in his favour for a unification and come out of it looking like he was in the right? I think it'd be unprecedented and for good reason. Taking the lions share is one thing but less than 35 for a fellow champ is taking the ****...
Not when it equates to more than he has ever earned before, more than he could earn elsewhere and simple more than his market value. Earn this much vs Joshua or earn less vs someone else. It's pretty simple.
Mayweather paid other champions far less. He paid Ortiz only 7%, Canelo 11%, Cotto 20%, Guerrero 8%, Maidana got 4%. They all had titles when Mayweather fought them. De La Hoya too paid many title holders less than 35%. Mosley only got 23% when he first fought De La Hoya and only 27% in the rematch, despite winning the first fight. Tito only made 29% for the De La Hoya fight, Castillejo only 5%, Vargas 29% Pac got 23%. Fact is when you are the far, far bigger draw like in this case the normal splits you'd expect go out of the window. So it's hardly unprecedented, in fact if Parker gets more than 25% he'll be doing very well out of this when others against Mayweather and De La Hoya got far less.
