According to Saunders he's convinced he'll beat Lemieux clearly enough for there to be a robbery if it goes to the cards in Lemmy's backyard, with GBP behind him.

Of course only mentioning it does mean it has crossed his mind, and he never actually beat someone at world level wide enough -for golden Boy standards- not to worry about it.

It's not just that he's travelling to Canada to face a canadian. he's travelling to face someone from GBP and they basically have Canelo vs Lemieux already lined up for May. With both guys working for GBP oscar gets paid a lot more. Lemieux fan base is much larger than BJS which might not be noticed because both arent American, but David Lemieux is one of the most popular athletes to french Canadians.

In a fair world with fair scoring I think this fight is razor close and maybe BJS pulling it off. a come forward hometown fighter who is known to be a harder puncher vs a guy who edges out rounds slightly, I'd say he needs to win 9 rounds to be sure he walks away with his title.

Even at his best I think he would win just by 7-5. If he fights like like he did in his last 2 fights Lemeiux wins for sure

Well BJS Stamina issues can improve not from not very good to "great!" "amazing" "his biggest strength"
lucky for him david Lemieux has gas tank issues and yes his did improve. a lot of that has to do with pacing neithers strength will ever be Stamina. I can see Lemieux breaking or claiming he broke his hand in this one.

I think BJS wins this fight in the uk and Lemieux wins it in canada being the same fight the hometown judges will always favour the hometown fighter in a fight that will be close and not as good as people hope. I could see BJS looking poor early on when he gets bumm rushed.
