Marciano, 5'10.5 187 lbs of lean. mean, fighting machine would today be a Cruisrweight, or with sports medicine and next day weigh ins a LHW.

Either weight class, he'd be devastating.

Is he the best CW ever?

Still not a CW. At the era, he was a small heavy.

It may have made more sense if you had asked whether Marciano was the best under 190 pound fighter in history.

He would have competed in the LHW's. With rehydration, no problem.

Just look at the belly fat here: https://www.google.se/search?q=rocky+marciano&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjOuNWi09jXAhUMb1AKHc9YC3QQ_AUICigB&biw=1422&bih=684#imgrc=6-gG2cZH6cvDvM:

He looks soft even during his fights according to pictures.

I'm not sure about that either...

Kovalev just to name one example would beat him I think.

This. Marciano was always a heavyweight and would be a heavyweight if he competed today.
Marciano also cut weight to be under 200lbs, since he was fighting 15 rounders.

Archie Moore 180 vs. Nino Valdez 6'3" 210lb

Archie Moore as the reigning 175 champion would regularly campaign at heavyweight and outboxed Nino Valdez, who was the number 1 contender for Marcianos belt twice despite the height, weight, and reach difference.

Archie had no problem stopping George Parmentier who was 6'6" 233lbs or Abel Cestac 6'4" 224 lbs.
Archie would toy with modern day fat slobs like Breazeale, Whyte, or Miller.

IDK.....Holyfield would be tough for Rocky at 190. I realize Holyfield didn’t have many fights at that weight but that’s where he started out.

This. It's either Holyfield or Marciano as the best cruisers in history, and I edge it to Marciano. A guy like Usyk has the potential to close in fast though.

No disrespect to Kovalev's skills, which I rate highly, but if he gasses by round 6 fighting Ward and Chilemba, the Rock will fold him in half and post him home in a parcel.

I don't know about best ever but a fight between him and Lebedev would be intriguing, also a fight between him and Jirov would probably be a legendary shootout. I imagine Usyk's footwork, timing and range would present some serious problems for Marciano.

His physique has nothing to do with his effectiveness as a cruiserweight. He actually wasn’t soft at all when he was fighting.
