A real boxing fan doesn't care what other boxing fans like or watch because they understand that there are multiple facets to this sport which can be appreciated by everybody.

Toney was another guy like that.

But my guilty pleasure is to watch guys like Rigo (Agbecko) and latter day Mayweather (vs Canelo) to stand in front of guys and find ways to hypnotize them into not throwing punches. It's not exciting, but it keeps me interested due to the sheer bemusement gained from it.

Yes, good post and I agree. Staying in the pocket is what makes it enjoyable for me, as opposed to hopping on the bike ...

well you have to think about brain damage... i can understand that Floyd or Rigo are not brawling because the dangers of boxing are very big... look at ali, gatti, hearns etc... you cant do anything with all that money if you cant even complete a sentence...

Yes, to be honest if I were a boxer I'd probably be a so-called "boring" defensive fighter.

But as a fan I do prefer the more exciting fighters who go for the KO ... I'm just being honest lol. I can certainly still appreciate skilled fighters like Floyd or Rigo too, but in the end it's just personal preference.

If you don't like boring fights and fighters it doesn't make you any less of a fan. Some guys like to come on here and claim that they are a much bigger fan than you because they like boring fights and fighters. To each his own but my whole life doesn't revolve around boxing, there are other things I enjoy, and I don't have enough time to watch a guy who bores the place out every time he fights. And that doesn't make me any less of a fan than you
