Cst80 strikes me as a bit satanic. Bring your cross then.

Bivol destroyed Agnew quicker and considerably easier than KOvalev so what point are you trying to make, CST80?

No, that's not the point I'm trying to make, bowlingkid09, I'm trying to make the point that Bivol has beat no one of note, and its not a great idea to read too much into KOing some worthless bum like Broadhurst, who to be honest, I'd never heard of. Bivol isn't as heavy handed as some seem to think he is, his best win is over Agnew, who based on styles, was more suitable opponent to Bivol than he was Kovalev, and even in that match, he couldn't straight up score the stoppage. He could have probably lasted 2 or 3 more rounds, and that was an Agnew that had been pulverized by both Kovalev and Clarkson.

I'd like to see Bivol beat someone with a pulse before declaring him the Next Big Thing capable of beating someone who holds wins over Hopkins, Pascal, Chilemba, Mohammedi, Cleverly, Campillo and by all rights Ward.

Okay, I see what you mean and that makes sense. Bivol looks very skilled , has very good power and can destroy C+/B- fights with ease. The main concerns I have about Bivol is his (seemingly) stationary head and possibly his chin against the top five 175 pounders.

Agreed. To be fair, I'm not a big fan of Main Events. They're good up to a point. And I think Bivol's ceiling is beyond that point.

Oh don't you worry, if Kathy ends up falling under this handsome young devil's spell and buys him any bling, Sergey will DEMAND it. :deal:

Bivol wasn't wise to sign with a weak promoter like Main Events.

Golden Boy would have been better, Bivol is the talented fighter they were hoping Shabranskyy would be, but wasn't.

But at least we'll be seeing him on HBO. Barrera-Bivol is a very good matchup.

Bivol said in that interview I posted that he could make 168 if he wanted to, for the right fight.

gutsy fight for both. if it goes past 8 I favour Kovalev big time, but will it go that late is the big question.
