    Barrera is winning the jab battle, as per usual. Valera switching to southpaw, to no avail. Barrera out-jabbing his right as easily as his left. Valera resorts to some more low blows. The ref observes for a while, bemused, and then deducts another point, apparently rethinking his threat from earlier. Valera bops around the ring, spine kissing the ropes as Barrera times his awkward jerky rhythm of movement and connects on roughly a third of his straight, crisp punches.
