    Big left upper-hook by Valera hoping to make a splash with the equalizer. Barrera is putting out a left jab and sweeping body combos, then grabbing Valera in close. Barrera now walking Valera down, missing some lead hooks on the forward march but forcing Valera to fire errant jabs and leap in to clinch, lots of nervous movement. Valera desperate to survive, lobbing southpaw 1-2s off his thighs, at rest on the outside, checking the clock almost constantly. Big left hook from Barrera at the bell.
