I understand that 154.1 is MW but what Canelo and Cotto did is to drain natural MW to the 155 limit so they have an advantage over their drained opponents. Rich famous fighters like Canelo and Cotto just can buy them an advantage and changing the rules

Sadly boxing is no longer a sport $$$$$$$$$$ & Corruption are the causes of the greatest sport in the world's downfall, This starts at the top with the corrupt State Commissions No one polices them, they change & invent new rules at will IE Issuing a TUE for an illegal saline drip 21 DAYS AFTER a boxer was caught receiving it :confundio: How do you warrant that ??????

He was the WBO Champ at 154 before he moved back up so doesn' that automatically guarantee a mandatory position?

And Adelaide Byrd scores a draw again. Doesn't matter the matchup...whoever pays her the most gets the 118-110 card.

    It's obvious.

He was the WBO JrMW champion and moved up. So he should be the WBO #1 contender. Why would Canelo be an exception?

Again I have to repeat(and this is a trend with Golovkin fans). The rules state that weighing at 154.1 all the way to 160 OFFICIALLY considers you a Middleweight. Did they change the weight limit?, the answer is no. Therefore, no rules were changed.

I posted a long time ago that Oscar lied to Golovkin so that Golovkin would not fight Saunders for the WBO title, Oscar planned for El Pollo to fight Saunders a long time ago, now Golovkin will be left without an opponent and that opponent will not be El Pollo, it will be the winner of Lemieux/Saunders as I predicted. Oscar is a damned crook, worst that Haymon, Arum, Don King or anyone else. Golovkin wanted to fight Saunders for years, but fell for the damned fixed fight with El Pollo! Oscar will shut Golovkin out of boxing. I hope that crook chokes on his fishnets!

    WBO style.

They done the same for Turbo Terry and he has no affiliation with GB so Canelo isn't being handed any special treatment.

That's complete Bs... this is why I hate Oscar and golden boy.. you want the number 1 spot? EARN IT. instead everything is just given to canelo. beat a charlo or sergiy guy atleast then you have a claim to having earned ...

Any fight over 154 is at middleweight whether the two guys fighting agree to a BS catchweight is irrelevant to that. I agree with you in him gaming the system though, that is exactly what he's doing.

Its not middle weight if you impose a catchweight that restricts the other guy from weighing in at the full MW limit.

155 wasn't known as 'Canelo weight' for nothin. If it was really a MW contest , then the opponent would've been allowed weigh in up to 160.
