I don't think Parker can do what Takam did to Joshua and expect to win. Parker moves well enough and I think has enough head and upper movement to copy what Takam did but there's a significant difference between the two.

Takam is looking to sit back and counter all the time, when he slips a shot he's in a position to punch back with a counter. Parker doesn't do that, when he's in a defensive position, he's 100% defense, he's not in a position to counter back, when he slips a shot he's usually only thinking about avoiding the shot, he isn't looking to create angles to punch back from.

Takam's counter punching ability meant Joshua couldn't just steam roll right through him as Takam could hit back in defensive positions. Parker's lack of counter punching and poor defensive positioning would mean he offers little to discourage Joshua from trying to just plow right through him as he knows nothing is coming back until Parker creates some space and can reset.

This fight will go to the decisions for sure. And it is going to be a close one.

It's going to be competitive for sure, Joshua isn't head a shoulders above everyone.

I too think Parker could be the first guy to take Joshua the distance if he's as durable as I expect. He'll need a good chin though and will need to try and out work Joshua when he can. But I think Joshua will win a pretty convincing if competitive decision. Maybe 8 rounds to 4.

Parker has got to change trainers. He's not progressing, in fact he's getting worse. He has lots of potential but with this current team has no chance against AJ.

Joshua's gastank is okay. Parker's is good. But he is no Takam. Can't see him pulling of that move really. Even if he outlasts Joshua in terms of energy. His punches would not connect often enough to put Joshua down. Joshua can take a hit and resettle things. Even get up after a tremendous right hand. Parker needs a flurry to take him down and yet another flurry for a second knockdown and possibly a stoppage. Can't see that happening. But I can see him outpointing Joshua in the end rounds. Not enough. Either Joshua KO or Joshua UD.

Parker's gastank is not good enough to separate him from Joshua.

I see this as a 70/30 beatdown till the end. Parker's got Crispier punches than Takam but less workrate. A punchers chance but Joshua's the winner if they decides to trade. Even if Joshua doesn't succeed to take him down. It will affect any aggressive attempts and keep him at bay for a comfortable UD.

I think Parker’s only realistic chance is to make Joshua work hard in the fight, outlast Joshua, then force the stoppage when Joshua tires out.

Parker does not have the power to stop Joshua, he has to force the ref to stop the fight.

I think Joshua will catch him before that though.

He's not gonna outbox AJ and he's not gonna outlast him.

It's really tough to start with what Parker should do. He has the tools, but not the ring iq or adaptability to tailor a specific fight plan for Joshua IMO.

One thing that's imperative though: he needs to invest in the body from round one. Other than that just keep the jab pumping high and low, keep moving laterally, not over exposing himself. He needs to make things awkward for Joshua, not let him get settled or able to read him otherwise it's game over.

He'll likely need to concede a few rounds to start making his presence felt.

I know AJ is hated on here but I honestly don’t see how Parker lasts past rounds 4/5/6.

He struggled against Ruiz, Takam and Fury. He’s never been in with a puncher like AJ. He’s gona feel it from the first bell.

He’s also not a big puncher himself. He’s only stopped 2 of his last 6 opponents. For a heavyweight that’s a terrible ratio and if you look at them 6 opponents it says it all.

The only chance Parker has is if AJ does himself some harm, underestimated him or something.
