I was surprised he let Gamboa off the hook a few times and his wide punches were easily avoided several times. I should have scored the ref point deduction round even which would of been a draw on my scorecard.

Shabranssky is too glass-jawed to last for long and not skilled enough to execute that game-plan.

 

He has no other skills. I doubt he knows anything else, besides boxing.
I figure he is going to be fighting on for years to come.

The worst thing about Jackson was how the boxing infrastructure and media acting like he was doing him this huge favor by training him and actually believing Jackson was the reason for Kovalev success. Professional boxing is so bigoted toward EE's that there always has to be some Westerner behind their success.

That's why I like Loma so much he has no Westerners taking credit for his accomplishments except his scumbag promoter which is almost unavoidable at this stage.

 

HBO said he bought a home in Cuba during last nights telecast. Granted he did not make huge money as a pro but he did well enough to live a comfortable life in Cuba after boxing and he still is in line for more fights at decent money. I would say his current line of work treated him pretty well and should provide for his retirement.

I figure he made some good money this year, fighting 4 times. Likely one of his better financial years in a long time.
I do remember him owing someone money back in 2012, so his purse for the Farenas fight was really low.
