Cyclone and Carl Frampton are now suing eachother in court

Its gut wrenching to see their relationships come to this.
We as fans usually side with the boxer in these cases and to be fair the boxer is usualy in the right.
But this is a legal case not a case of morals and principles and these promoters can be clever people.
I hope it doesnt take too much out of carl.

 

Why are they suing ?

 

Cyclone will get taken to the cleaners in court. I’m astonished Wee Barry is looking to get into it with a frank Warren promoted fighter with all the cases he’s won over the years, and the murky characters behind Frampton at MTK.

 

Who knows, wasn't Carl contracted to another fight under cyclone? That's never good to break.

Hopefully no one ends up broke either way.

 

Cyclone seem very unpopular in Ireland now -- now focusing on Scotland and I hope they dont end up in court with the Scottish boxers like we had with Ricky Burns before up here.

 

Well if they are happy to take their 'brother and 'son' Carl to court what chances have other boxers got. Notice Barry has kept himself out of lawsuit it's Blain who is named, properly as he will have no or little assets to risk if he loses.

 

I don't think Barry is easy going from how he comes across. Not very good for business I imagine. Strikes me as someone who takes things very personal, sometimes you can see him get excited if someone offers an opinion different to his

 

Sad to see- I suspect it is something to do with the missed fight in the Summer so hopefully it's not huge money.

Putting this action aside, Barry did a lot of harm to his image even while promoting Frampton. He came across as a pretty erudite, genial fellow in his years as a pundit, but his work with Carl revealed him as something of a rapacious loudmouth.

 

Paddy barnes was framptons best man, i also heard that McGuigan give Carl a 4 hundred grand tax bill. ive never liked the McGuigans. he is a greedy wee rat. also heard frampton didnt like the whole family getting paid of the back of him. carl got 5000 persoanl tickets for the Quigg fight and Barry put 10% tax on them all ranging from £40 to £500 and he kept the money. it was going sour for a while. the McGuigans are greedy people. hope everything works out for frampton. IMO people will now see Barry for what he is and the people from N Ireland will back carl in this.

 

Tax is tax McGuigan doesn't decide that HMRC does.

 

He said Barry put 10% tax on and kept the money for himself.
