Breazeale had Mansour in trouble and would have stopped him regardless before the stoppage.Charr wouldn't shock anyone BC Breazeale can punch ,sorry but Charr is not close too top ten and Izu would flatten him without question.
Breazeale has thudding power but he's so freaking slow and telegraphed. Charr, whatever his faults, has a very tight guard against fighters of a certain calibre and I suspect he'd have no trouble avoiding Breazeale's ponderous blows. Don't forget what you're saying about Breazeale was what a lot of people were saying about Ustinov. Breazeale doesn't do much better than Ustinov and might be even slower and more cumbersome if that's possible. I think Charr outpoints him if they fight.
Did you see Ustinov throw punches? The guy is slower than Marius Wach which would qualify him in the show The Walking Dead. Charr is not outpointing anyone in top 10 if his actual ability is what I saw...at least my top 10..lol No one was saying anything about Breazeale 2 years ago except me.....and now he will get Wilder.
Would be a good fight actually they are about the same level just outside of the Top 20. Charr being WBA champion is ridiculous and shows what a joke they have become with there multiple "world titles" in each division
I would not be surprised if Charr were to beat Chisora..................he will beat Oquendo...........
Which means he's just another easy mark that Wilder thinks he can knock off, no more. Breazeale is top ten only due to some very favourable matchups in recent years. In reality he's more properly a top twenty type guy, same as Charr. A fight between the two would not be a mismatch by any means.
I'd take Chisora to beat him if he shows up in decent shape. Charr has never been any good, said it when he fought Vitali, been saying it ever since. He just got lucky he was facing Ustinov for a mickey mouse title and Ustinov has always been overrated by some, I mean Ustinov makes Valuev look like prime Ali, he's so slow and cumbersome.
Ustinov used to be the kind of guy you faced when you were trying to break in as a prospect, like say one of Mike Tysons first ten fights. Today, hes a title fighter! Boxing has gone back to the Dark Ages.
Honestly if the version of Chisora that fought Whyte shows up he edges last Saturday's Charr. Of course, with German hometown judging you never know.
When does Chisora ever turn up in shape? He's consistently failed to put in the work necessary to make his style really potent. I agree that he's never quite realised his potential but that's firmly his own fault. Charr is now starting to put in the work and reaping the rewards as a result. I think you're selling Ustinov short. Prior to the fight many were predicting him to run through Charr and he was often referred to as a limited but solid and powerful guy in the Wach vein, able to provide a decent test for a number of guys. Wach is still seen as a scalp by some so it's unfair to tar Ustinov because he lost to a man many are refusing to accept is better than given credit for.
True Chisora is rarely in top shape. Only period he was, was between the Scott and 2nd Fury fight, I'd regard that as his prime years. After the 2nd Fury loss he realised even in shape he wasn't good enough and ever since as been just fighting for the paycheck, he's lost any real ambition. I'd agree that Ustinov is on a level with Wach, but Wach was garbage too. Ustinov and Wach are a test to up and coming prospects, not title contenders. They're big durable, can hit a bit, but are too crude and unathletic to ever be anything other than low level gate keepers. Charr's win over Ustinov isn't without controversy either, most had Ustinov winning which tells you how good Charr is. Charr, Ustinov, Wach all low level gate keeper types, any decent prospect would beat them. I think Joyce now could beat all 3. Whyte who I don't rate that highly either would beat all 3 of them. Usyk who isn't even a heavyweight would dominate them.
