It was hard to score as algieri seemed to land more but prov had the harder shots. what was your score?
115-111 IIRC. That was an easy fight compared to many I've been in on here, the most frustrating to me is the Cotto fanboys that act like his win over Sergio Martinez had any legitimacy whatsoever, it was and still is deplorable that they act as if Martinez was completely healthy for that fight, when he was visible impaired, the man could barely walk, his knee was so ****ed up, he had to retire from the sport, that right there should end the discussion, but nope, they still insist. ***holes.
Some fanboys are soo blinded by love or hatred for a fighterthat it affects their ability to realise that they may be wrong about a match with that fighter
Not stopped TOO early. Just stopped early. And went to the cards. Makes for quick viewing and usually something odd, notable, and/or questionable happened to cause the quick end.
dawson hopkins 10 9 tko2 win for dawson. Imo dawson was just tryna get hopkins off him and hopkins landed awkwardly. I have no prob with it being a tko win
This is my score Ioka yaegashi 9 10 very Close 9 10 Close 9 10 Close 10 9 Close 9 10 10 9 very Close 10 9 Close 10 9 very Close 9 10 very Close 9 10 very Close 9 10 Close 9 10 very Close 112 116 Close fight it was, som rounds were very hard to score. Felt like both have a claim to win, ioka a very Close points win or a slightly wider margin for yaegashi. What a war it was to watch both have very good chins in this. Felt like yaegashi was able to land the better punches during rounds to swing it his way. Have no prob with either winning but I felt like yaegashi deserves to win this. What scores did everyone else have? What fights shall I score next?
I can see the fight being a draw. Such a back and forth fight, felt like ioka did look worse when taking flush shots but yea both were amazing
Try Fonfara-Cleverly, I thought it was far closer than the official scorecards reflex. And its a ridiculously fun fight to watch.
Physically, he looked his age. But i think what ****ed him really over was his lack of time spent on actual boxing. 3 camps in 3 years? Not enough. Martinez had not fought in over a year. He always concentrated a lot of time on loosing weight. And he had to take care of his knees and hands. There was not much room for the sweet science. Meanwhile Cotto just focused on his skills. And it showed.
