    Has Gesta improved at all? He'd need to have made some progress for this Linares matchup to be interesting, because he was a deeply mediocre (and uninteresting) fighter five years or so ago. I haven't watched him since Vazquez, and I only paid attention to that because I wanted to see the Mex spoiler derail him.

    Gesta probably won't beat Linares, who may face Luke Campbell in april in the UK, if he beats Gesta.

    Did Peterson vacate his regular WBA title or is the Welterweight division going to have the ridiculous situation of 3 "world champions" like they do in about half of the divisions?

    Peterson vacated, because he wanted to give other fighters a chance to fight for this title and also due to him getting the Spence shot.

    Linares wins a wide decision or a late stoppage. Could see Gesta being dropped numerous times. Gesta has some skill and power but he still fights the same as he did when he fought Vazquez, no improvement at all. Hopefully I’m wrong though.

    Gesta is a very mediocre fight, he virtually has no shot against Linares. I don't know if is with golden boy, but Top Rank tried to hype him up, but he is just very average. Gesta is a club fighter, Linares could have fought someone better.

    Spence-Peterson is on the 20th. This Linares card on the 27th will be going against... Linares ducker Mikey Garcia on Showtime, maybe against Easter. The 27th's still as loaded as it gets, with Dirrell-Uzcategui too.
