Many say Tyson didn't hit as hard as Foreman, but that's debatable. Tyson seemed to have more concussive power, where as Foreman's was more clubbing and hurtful. Foreman's punches would leave you still conscious, but curled up in the fetal position wishing you were unconscious. Tyson would just turn out your lights.

Yes, a prime Tyson would have out boxed and knocked Foreman out! Tyson was just way too fast, great timing, speed and power!

I don't know. I keep envision Tyson swing his hooks and fell into big George chest and being push away.
Tough fight. I pick George by late ko

Tyson was the better puncher but Foreman had more raw power as everyone that fought them both said Foreman was the more hurtful puncher. Tyson would take you out with surgical precision, while Foreman just beat you with a bat til you stopped moving.

Tysons, technique, combinations and sheer speed meant he'd catch you with shots you didn't see coming, so he'd more likely spark you clean out as you couldn't anticipate and brace for the impact of his punches. He was also an adept counter puncher, making guys lead by bobbing and weaving in front of them and would then slip and then unleash a bomb catching them coming in, simply brutal.

Foreman was slow, his punches telegraphed so you'd have that split second to brace for impact but even then the sheer power of his punches even with you partially blocking or rolling with the punch was such that he still hurt you badly.

Tyson wasn't all surgical precision. That's a label more correctly applied to someone like Louis. Tyson had a lot of knockdowns and knockouts where he only glanced the guy's head and still sent them into lala land. He also had a couple of one punch knockouts that could only have come from straight pure power.

Tyson is a swarmer, the fastest and the Mist powerful swarmer of all Time. Big George loved swarmers + he was a mental beast auf Very menecing. Tyson was always afraid of Big George because cus told him no swarmer will ever beat Big George.
To beat tyson you Need to have a Great uppercat and be Very physical. Big george by ko

Obviously Tyson had genuine one punch KO power too, Botha being a prime example. But he didn't hit as hard as some other bigger heavies like Lewis, Wlad, Foreman etc, but he was arguably a more effective puncher in his prime due to that surgical precision being combined with that power.

Tyson would lose because A) George ain't getting intimidated and B) Tyson was scared of George.

I don't know. I think Tyson's raw power is generally underrated among more hardcore boxing fans. He might not have hit as hard as Lewis with full extension on the right hand, for instance, but his power wasn't that far below IMO.

Power and speeds the winning combination for me. No one likes to fight against fast guys or really powerful guys but when they ve got both...that's the nightmare. I still think it was that combination that lead to a lot of tyson opponents being intimidated more so than the "tough talk" etc.

I,d take Tyson in that fight although your never quite sure cause foremann was a real powerhouse at his peak. Still think I,d have my money on Tyson if I had to choose.

Foreman (younger or older version) truly would be a nightmare for Tyson.
Foreman was rough on the inside and Tyson has been more or less nullified
by a lot of taller guys on the inside that were subpar to George. George has
never lost to anyone that came forward throwing (in either career incarnation),
everyone that beat him boxed him off the backfoot. That is the only thing Tyson
can't do, fight moving backwards. George with the long jab and bombing right
would pick Tyson apart and stop him.

I think a lot of guys are knowledgeable on here and also know about the old
stories of Cus saying Tyson should never fight that kind of guy, it's true.

Nightmare prototype do not fight type of fight for Tyson.

I've no doubt, Tyson was a boxing fan who watched and studied hundreds of matches on film. He along with Cus would know Tyson would have no chance against George.
