The WBO's November World Rankings are a big surprise in heavyweights: Tony Yoka, who has only two pro fights, appears in fifteenth place. He is therefore eligible to face the WBO champion of the category, the New Zealander Joseph Parker! On the other hand, two other French heavyweights of world level, Johann Duhaupas and Carlos Takam, classified by the other federations, are forgotten (the WBO class 15 boxers by category). It is true that the rankings of world federations sometimes reflect more the influence of the promoters (Yoka is directed by the American Richard Scheaffer) than the value of the boxers.

Parker can choose Yoka and earn easy money in France.

I dont know what i am more surprised at the fact he is top 15 or the fact he has jumped the rankings without being signed to Frank Warren.

Who did "La Croquette" suck... err... beat to get there? Nobody it seems...

That's even worse as giving Stiverne the #1 contender spot in my opinion. Can you imagine Parker picking him as a voluntary??? That's criminal!

Yoka had victory over Parker in amateurs, so maybe he has a chance.

I just don't get it how those rankings are working. My idea about the ranking system is whoever pays more , gets in the top15.

Just a hunch, Parker will fight tougher opponents than Wilder has.

Be interesting to see if that ****** (rhymes with banker) Virgin Hunter whines about the ''injustice'' of this? One of his fighters has been ''given a free diner without having to work for it'' again.

Boxrec doesn't show Yoka holding any WBO straps, so that's odd.
