I think Golovkin has too many strings to his bow for Froch. If he can't slug with him, he would fight from behind the jab and run away with it like that.
Golovkin who has no head movement and minimal defense?? Froch gives him a proper pasting. Too tall , too rangy , too fierce , to active. GGG would be kept at the end of the jab and cork screw uppercut , right hand combo .. because we saw against lesser hitters in Jacobs and Canelo that he won't walk through shots to land his own. And Froch vs Canelo would be a mismatch. He tears him apart.
I think he boxes behind the jab and slugs now and then when he has the chance. Froch was a supremely fit hard man, he makes it to the end and has good spurts all the way through imo. Too many strings to his bow as you say GGG, but its a hard fight for him, really hard. I can see moments where it looks like Froch's fight !
Who needs defence with a chin like that ! Froch wasn't hard to find either, that's why we know they are both granite chinned ! Jacobs with 1 punch I think would punch as hard as froch imo too, Froch more of a savage !
But he doesn't put his chin at risk against pillow puffs like Canelo so whats he going to do against bigger and harder hitting Froch? He threw 'Mexican style' out the window against Lemieux because of his power and boxed safety first behind the jab. That approach won't get him the win against Froch. You need speed and movement to beat Froch. A straight forward mover from middle weight is made to order for him.
Except that Froch had the chance to fight Golovkin at 172 and prove his "too big, too strong" talk and he did exactly squat. Just like Eubank when the time came to take the fight or not, his balls shrivelled up and he couldn't find a pen. Tells me who would win this.
Froch and it would be a great fight. Froch doesn't fade and he can take GGG's power. Froch hits hard enough and is much bigger than GGG.
Golovkin's not even a particularly big MW. I don't know if he'd carry the weight well at SMW. Froch is used to taking punches from guys bigger than Golovkin.
