Cormier vs Ozdemir official for UFC 220

I guess UFC didn't have a problem with Ozdemirs recent legal issues.I assume will be the main event and should be a decent fight, I'm hoping Ozdemir can finish him but I favour Cormier especialy if it get past first couple of rounds

 

I think Volkan knocks him out, he's been on a huge roll and DC is pushing 40, not to mention just getting flatlined by a juiced up Jones.

Way to early for the Vulkan, Cormier subs him in 3! Cannot get his pedestrian ground game out of my head, especially that loss he took in Bellator.

* What were his legal troubles?

* Why was Gus passed over?

 

Personally thought OSP did enough to beat him... Gustafsson out via injury. Just had surgery...

I had Vulkan beating OSP, he had a good first, thought he nicked the second then hung on in the third but certainly lost it. I do not take much from his last two early stoppages. Sure once is a fluke, twice is a trend but KO's from odd angles in close like that do not translate with any consistency at an elite level and despite his ranking at the time in no way was freakin' Jimmy Manowa elite.

i dont think DC has the fire in him that he had against Jones, let him first make weight and then we will see.

I hope your right but there is a big chance he spends the majority of the fight on his back if he doesn't use his reach advantage to hurt him early

 

DC had a hell of a chin, his whole career up to getting that shin in the grill against Roid Jones. He should be able to handle this guy fairly easily. I would like to see DC use a bit more defense though, instead of wading in and just eating shots.
