Weak argument. Froch was 36 when knocked out Groves at Wembely. 36 year old Froch runs through Canelo like a blow torch through candy floss. Apparently Golovkin was past prime at 34 because Brook lifted him off his feet with an uppercut.
I'm a massive Brook fan but a 30year old GGG knocks out Brook in about 2 rounds, if you think he dosen't, cool. It doesn't stop the reality of GGG being past his prime even by the Brook fight. A 30 year old Ronaldo is better than the 32 year old version, i could go on listing athletes who lose a step forever if you want me to?
Froch wasn't a threat to Joe back than, it was shown this was the case when Froch lost to Kessler who Joe handled with much more ease. Joe beats Froch much worse than Joe beat Kessler, you must know that right?
Why does Golovkin seem weak around the body? He has never been hurt in his career so what do you base it on?
Froch dosen't even go to the body so I've no idea how that will help him even if he was vulnerable down there.
Ronaldo plays football. He has no relevance whatsoever to any discussion on here. Froch was thought to be past it after his drubbing to Ward and nobody gave him a chance to beat Bute. He destroyed Bute , then comfortably beat Kessler.. Destroyed Mack.. Then looked on top form in the Groves rematch at 37. Why would GGG be past it at 34 , but Froch was still looking good at 37? It about levels.. GGG lost his invincibility cloak because his competition got better. Thats all there is to it.
All the talk of Froch ducking Golovkin is just plain silly. Even when it was first talked about as a possible fight I knew Froch wouldn't ever take it, but not because he feared GGG but because mentally he was already retired but hadn't admitted it to himself. We've seen it countless times and a lot recently, an aging fighter is at the end of their career and hangs around too long, doesn't fight but debates whether or not to have that one last fight. Lewis delayed announcing his retirement for several months before finally retiring instead of taking the Vitali rematch. Then we saw Vitali linger around and not fight for over a year before vacating the belt instead of facing his mandatory Stiverne. Froch had all but retired. He had said that he was half retired and really was only hanging around for a possible last fight with Ward but Ward simply didn't want it. Froch said at the time the Golovkin fight didn't excite him and it wouldn't of been PPV at the time to make him the money he would want to fight GGG. Then later on he was just trolling people regarding the GGG fight. Hearn fell for it and tried to get Froch out of retirement but Froch was happily retired and never had any intention of coming back. Lewis did a similar thing when saying he'd want some crazy amount if he was to come out of retirement to fight Vitali, but he obviously never did and admitted later on he was just stirring and had no intention of coming back.
Yawn. A severely shop-worn, approaching 40 year old Froch retires following GGGs call out (who didn't call out Froch btw until Froch made retirement noises) and this is now a duck? Your genuinely suggesting Froch was somehow scared of Cleverly? Take a bath you filthy weasel.
What, do boxers not use their legs? :/ Bute beat nobody of note before he faced Froch, a name yes, unproven, absolutely. He beat past prime Kessler, and Mack!?!?! Groves has shown he has a bad gas tank and he has a weak chin, for an aggressive puncher like Froch that was a decent meal ticket. I'm favouring Eubank to dispatch of GG much easier than Froch did. GGG at 34 was past his prime, as was Froch. The Froch who faced GG in his last fight loses to Prime Carl Froch, you know this right.... I hope you do.
