    Of course.
Most versions, even the ones that got KO'd early on in his career, because he was a search and destroy fighter back then.

Yeh definitely. Not sure what the obsession is with Fury. He has a lot to prove yet.

On paper prime Wlad beats him nearly every time yes, but Fury had Wlad beat before the fight began...Wlad would be more vulnerable to the mind games the younger he was so it's likely Fury has a great shout regardless of what era.

So Wlad magically became a horrible fighter after 2013? Then puts up a great performance against Joshua in 2017?

So you're saying you have to be a horrible fighter to lose to Fury?

    Ok .

Lets take Wlad in his absolute prime against Tony Thompson 2008.

At the time of the stoppage in the 11th round Thompson had outlanded Wlad in all 3 categories - Total punches , jabs and power punches.

He made a mess out of Wlads face with left hand lead counters.

To make matters worse , Thompson went into the fight with an injured knee and was slow as molasses. He gave Wlad fits with just basic movement. Wlad was so frustrated that he flung old man Thompson to the canvas and deliberately landed down on his bum knee. Much like the way he tried to foul Fury with a head butt.

Put Fury in there that night and you would have seen the exact same result because Wlad can't man handle or throw Fury around like he did with weak old Tony The Tiger.

Fury had the remedy for that with height , strength and inside skills.

No Sir I'm saying I think Wlad of 2010 was the same Wlad of 2015.

Possible. But that still doesn't explain why he had to be "horrible".

Obviously not. His performances had been slipping post 2013 and against Fury he looked like a shell of his former self. Against Joshua he seemed to have motivation back and he was fighting a much more straight forward style. Culminating in a much more impressive performance.

I think Fury should be credited for his efforts that night but he hasn't shown that he could replicate it and there is no reason to believe that Fury could deal with a prime Wlad just as easily... You'd have to be a fanboy to believe that.

Hard to say cos Fury had a very unique style and made it hard for Wlad to get comfortable
Maybe a younger Wlad would have thought "f it" and threw and landed. But with the style he was up against it could have made him look silly also
