One current champion is 48-0-0 (17 KOs), and he's 32 years old. Of Course, he's not as good as his record indicates and is a Straw weight but approaching the 50-0 status! His name, Wanheng Menayothin.
I’m sure Mayweather doesn’t like hearing about Willie Pep or Chavez’ records before their first loss either! Mayweathers 50-0 isn’t a record. And beating a 0-0-0 MMA guy isn’t something true past greats (Or current ones for that matter) would even bother with.
Menayothin can't be happy about this... http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/04/30/12/282A480100000578-3062438-image-m-64_1430394852064.jpg
The entire appeal of 50-0 is that fact that you quit afterwards. There have been fighters to have been 50-0 or even better before, but the key is....they all kept going and later lost. Floyd isn't the first to achieve 50-0. But he's the first to finish his career at 50-0 without ever losing.
said it before and i'll say it again - forget a fighter's record and belts WHO they fought and WHEN is the only foolproof way of measuring a fighter's career
