Since we're on the subject of Fury's "beautiful footwork" and voluminous punching, let's bear in mind that Vitali himself was known for, due to his kickboxing experience, having some of the best and most awkward movement and being the most difficult to solve puzzle in the division in terms of HW footwork pretty much his entire career, and outside the Lewis fight showed pretty exceptional stamina while basically swarming his opponents to death round after round with a bunch of heavy-handed flurries (never really concentrating on being a one-hitter like his brother). In other words, Fury would be looking in a mirror at someone that did everything he does, and more. Vitali is also a massive super heavyweight. No size advantage for Fury. Vitali also throws millions of punches. No activity advantage for Fury. Vitali also moves with a lot of agility and awkwardness for his size. No mobility advantage for Fury. Vitali is heavier-handed than Fury and has a chin on the extreme iron end of the spectrum, whereas Fury's is a tad below average.

Hard to see a path to victory for the big Gyp tbh.

This was what people thought of - BEFORE the result was presented.

I'm not sure that the most feared beer truck driver even will look at it.

gotta give fury credit for knowing to run for the hills afterwards. delusional brits will always think he is an atg. because he ducked his way to a title shot, got lucky, then bailed on the sport before getting found out. at least half the cw top ten ko's fury.

Vitaly by KO. Fury will be remembered as just another Price.

Fury must be the most polarising boxer. He is an oafish Carnera-esque, accidental champ to some and a twinkle toed slickster ATG to others. Personally I am a fan of Tyson, both the personality and the fighter, but Vitali is a head-to-head nightmare for anybody and I would have to favour Klitschko the elder to win a decision.

Fury would stop Vitali due to cuts. Just look at Wlad's face after the fight and compare it to Vitali's after the lewis fight...

Fury's got a hell of a jab and Vitali's prone to cuts. Espicially in this fight vs a bigger more mobile fighter. The low guard lean back style would not work at all vs Fury's jab.

No chance. Vitali would apply subtle pressure until hes clearly on top then its a beat down. Or Fury would dance and lose a points decision. I like Tyson, but that fight with Wlad is no gauge here...

I think 50/50, either Vitaly by KO or Fury by decision, Vitaly in his prime had a concrete chin, but he wasn't a puncher and also Fury at least isn't less than Vitaly.
