I know it's not an MMA forum but I think McGregor places much higher on any monster list than Ledwaba. I had to look up who Ledwaba was.

Ledwaba was a fairly highly touted prospect that got ruined by Pacquiao and was never the same after that fight.

He was a champion not a prospect.

Lol....I remember exactly where I was when I saw this fight and listening to Larry and Jim struggling with Manny’s last name.

He was considered a top guy in Boxing at that time but wasn’t a superstar or well known outside of the Boxing community.

Larry Merchant and Jim Lampley were just hoping Manny could fight. Manny had held a title at flyweight, but he was fighting three divisions higher.

Ledwaba (33-1-1 coming in) was such a big favorite that Vegas didn't even have odds on the fight.

Conor definitely was seen in MMA as a monster especially after starching Aldo in the opening round after the first exchange. His rep grew to the level of a Mike Tyson after that but Ledwaba was a definitely well know in the Boxing community...just not to the general public. The division he was in just didn’t have any real superstars until PAC entered the picture

I thought Freddie Welsh picked up a strap as a last minute replacement fighter, but it might have been Kid Berg, or Jim Driscoll?
