This is idiodic logic. Because a guy never got his face caved in in a fight we’re to knock him for this? How about hardly losing a round while on the biggest stage his entire career with the whole world rooting against him. That takes far more mental toughness then fighting with a cut over your eye or a sore shoulder

Whoever thinks Margarito had a chance against Floyd is on some serious bud or powder... WTF.. Come on be real... I can understand other points and healthy discussion but wtf was Margarito going to do? Unless the plaster deal is real it was just going to be another dude trying to use pressure ala Castillo or Maidana to only get frustrated.. A style like that is tailor made for Floyd..

For me, stylists make fights moreso than styles per se. Each fighter's individual make-up and the circumstances of a fight count for more than nominal styles. I think Floyd wins, but Margarito was a big, relentless welterweight with a fine variety of punches that came from all angles who would've eaten Floyd's shots like M&M's and kept coming more intensely with each round. He didn't fight like Castillo (who was more measured, economical), and the pressure he would've brought would've made Maidana's look mild. It would've been physically arduous, demanding, unpleasant. Floyd, who hadn't yet thickened up at the weight, would've needed to do a lot of tying up of the bigger, stronger man. The pace of the fight would definitely have sapped him of some vigor going down the stretch. I think the later rounds would've been really interesting and tightly suspenseful to watch live.

It always seemed that Floyd just didn't want to take the risk on that guy with his eyes on Oscar and the PPV big time.

Do tell. Which fighters were at their best against Pac? Morales who lost to Raheem? Enlighten us ... I've already shown you Pac's pattern of fighting names when it was safe to do so. The same arguments you make against Floyd apply to your idol fool.

What you fail to realize is that none of these so called at their best fighters would have ever been favored against him you bitter fool, he was that great.:deal: So by your logic he still would not have taken a challenge.

I think he’s been tested enough to know Floyd has it in him to dig deep if he has to. Floyd just rather not...LOL.

Floyd doesn’t take risks, often...he’s a safety first fighter and his defensive mindset along with his pristine boxing technique, speed, talent and athleticism has allowed him to win fights without having to get into wars.

That’s been something he’s been highly criticized for. Does he win? Yes...Is it within the rules of Boxing? Of course....Is it exciting to watch? No.

Floyd takes the path of least resistance and mitigates risk by optimizing his God given gifts like his speed, athleticism and reflexes to control distance and score points without ever being in range where his opponents can land a shot.

When Floyd is cornered or has a choice to fight or hold, usually he’ll hold until the ref steps in to separate them, then go right back to out pointing his opponents just outside of their reach... but he can definitely box effectively on the inside and has the skills required to put on a show if he really wants to....he actually shows flashes of that in every one of his fights, but that’s too risky for Floyd’s taste. He’s a guy that cares more about winning and remaining undefeated than being leveled with criticism by his detractors.

Mayweather used the critics and harsh feedback to create a pretty impressive persona that has made him the richest boxer in the history of the sport. People called him boring, scared, over rated and didn’t give him a lot of credit based on not having a very exciting style and taking very little risk inside the ring.... but that spawned the “MONEY” persona.

He was casted as the villain in Boxing by pretty much everyone so he rode with it and even though there are not many who think his fights are worth buying based on the entertainment or action....they shell out big money in hopes that they see Floyd lose.

The “haters” of Floyd have done more to make Mayweather his fortune than his actual fan base. Foyd took all the negative being thrown his direction, owned it and monetized it through making people hate him so much, that they will pay $100 to watch a “boring” fight just for the chance to see him lose. Ahaha...I’m not mad at him

I disagree. Floyd was tested by Castillo and Maidana, and in many people's eyes lost those fights. Cotto tested him quite a bit. And I never saw the Pacquiao fight, but some people say he lost, so how could that not be a test for him?

That was said due to the plaster controversy if I'm not mistaken.. Which funny enough Margarito got Blasted by Mosley who simply had to tie him up,circle him double jab and go to the body a couple times.. Something Money would've done with ease.. Margo wouldn't have seen Maywether' s punches coming and wouldve eaten more right hands than he did against Mosley and all you had to do against Margarito was go to the body a couple times and he folded.. As shown in the Mosley and Pac Man fights.. Cotto fought a very bad cocky fight he was countering from the ropes and backing up all the f**ng time like an idiot.. He also forgot the body completely and kept head hunting Margo knowing he has a concrete beard.. Well had... He is shot as hell now.. But hey.. to each his own..

No ****! Margo is the exact same type of opponent that PBF always gets bashed for fighting slow come forward fighters with no defense but since PBF didn't fight him Margo destroys him.:risas3::risas3::risas3: Wishful thinking at its best. Had PBF fought him he wouldn't have gotten an ounce of credit anyway and it would be someone else he was scared of.
