I guess that means Canelo Alvarez is a B-level fighter as well. And Erislandy Lara is C-level because he lost to Alvarez... Or maybe you're just a ****ing moron once again.
Lol if people can't see GGG's incredible skill they should stop watching boxing because they don't understand it.
Best fundamentals next to Crawford. Both guys definitely have the basics down to muscle memory. Golovkin just needs to tighten up on his defense. People use to go with the "Big Show" theory but, getting lit up in every match since Willie Monroe is not "Big Showing" that's defensive problems. Letting Canelo ,who regularly fights like a pregnant turtle get off on you was even worse when it took 6 rounds for him to finally hit Amir Khan.
Ofc hes not, only a casual idiot would say that, he is one of the most skillful Boxers with some parts of his skillset being in top 5 ever status, like Jab and chin
Most of Canelos shots were blocked, GGGs defense is very underrated and could be absolutely incredible if he moved his head more
yep--complete hype job. gonna be exposed--next fight, guaranteed. not every fighter has the good fortune of being from Kazakstan if he had to come up the hard way like, say for instance, Shakur Stevenson, GGG would never have made it.
He's a very good boxer. Very intelligent and deliberate in his approach to each fight. His skills aren't accentuated by pronounced movement...so nothing stands out. Everything he does is very subtle with regards to his style and skills. GGG waste very little energy doing unnecessary things inside the ring. He has great power but doesn't over use it...GGG will switch up the speed of his punches which is a great quality that he uses extremely well.
Not at all. He's just not the flashy boxer with a cute style that is very eye catching. Just look at his extensive AM career to know he has skills. He had a 345-5 record and an Olympic Silver medalist. He was also the Gold medalist in the AM world championships. I don't think it's even debatable to question his skills when looking at Golovkin from that scope. The problem is the style he has isn't as aesthetically pleasing to the eye as a Canelo or One of the Charlo bros. Don't get it confused, Golovkin operates with a very deep set of boxing skills encapsulated in a style that isn't what most would call "eye catching". Being a big puncher sometimes overshadows the fact that GGG has excellent skills if you know what you are looking at. Most don't, so they automatically assume he's one dimensional or has only power to offer. But that's a fallacy. GGG has exceptional balance offensively and defensively. I totally understand why his skills are under appreciated but people would be very surprised if they actually understood the subtle nuances in GGG's style that makes him extremely formidable.
GGG looks like a prisoner of war @ 160 weigh ins, he actually looks starving and unhealthy. Fast foward 36 hours and fight night he looks like a hulk, guy has a massive frame, with a huge back. Must be close to 180lbs fight night Jarrett Hurd looks like he's so brittle at weigh ins he might snap and fight night he looks like a cruiserweight. I judge size by the difference they look @ in weigh in to fight night and how big they look next to their opponents. Fight night weights are bogus, pretty sure they make them up tbh. Jermall Charlo was supposedly 158lbs fight night vs Jrock, absolute farce that was. Same as GGG being 170 vs Jacobs when he was 170 @ the morning weigh in
