Who had more power as a WW (Duran or SRL)

they were excuses. Everytime he fought a great fighter he lost like to Hearns or Leonard or Benitez, he said he didn't train. Then he miraculously trains for Moore and Barkley. That speaks for itself.

 

Duran harder puncher, leonard had the speed to get you with shots you didnt see.
Similar to how george foreman was a harder hitter than tyson but tyson had more 1 punch KOs because of his speed.

then Leonard beat him 2 times. And Leonard beat Hearns, and Hearns hit harder obviously. How does that prove Duran hit harder than Ray? Ray also beat all the great fighters Duran could not Hearns, Benitez, Hagler.

I know what you mean. But he did lose to the fab 4. To all of them. And quite easily to 3 greats Benitez,Hearns and Leonard.

 

Whats your point? According to his Autobiography Duran did train hard for Hearns and Benitez, he just didnt beat them.
How do you think leonard, benitez or hagler had done in their 30s against Jones, Nunn, Hill or Toney at 168 and above? They simply didnt stick around long enough. The fact that Duran even fought hearns and Hagler is testament to the mans massive Cojones.
He had an entire career at LW and then the crowning achievement, the win over Leonard.
Everything after that is just the cherry on top and any losses past that point in no way negatively reflect on the mans ability in his prime.

Once a great fighter starts to really decline he can only earn extra credit not lose any because he already left his mark in his prime.

 

Dude if you don't know you history about a fighter don't add insult to injury by making blanket statements that are simply inaccurate. Study the guys career.

I think Leonard had more one or single punch power, but would say Duran landed heavier punches with greater consistency. Depends on your preferred flavor
