Im a Calzaghe and Beterbiev fan but Calzaghe in his prime was 168 fighter not 175 , no chance.

Calzaghe proved a world class SMW, but at LHW he barely held his own against one of his aged opposition, and its clear he picked them for a very good reason, to avoid at all costs primes. A young world class man would kill him at LHW, if an old hopkins with 50% power, stopping noone recently, could almost stop him in 1 round if not for joe cheating his way out of it. Not withstanding that joe picked these oldies to avoid elite SMW bouts.

Even Chickenson would probably knock Cowardzaghes head flying clean off into the lap of a screaming mrs tranni calzaghe.

However, Berbey is as yet untested largely. So its too early to say for sure.

He shrunk himself down to 168.

He could have spent his whole career at LHW had he have wished.

Seeing as though he was a great SMW, it's only reasonable to assume he'd have been a great LHW. He'd have possessed the exact same attributes and he'd have made the weight much easier.

Beterbiev seems to be a very large LHW. Joe would have his hands full.

I'd like to see more of Artur before I proclaim he beats Calzaghe.

    completely agree on Chickenson

as out of character as it seems, it looks like he's going to fight Badou Jack--ie, challenge has been made by Jack, verbally accepted by Stevenson, and Alvarez (Chickenson's mando) just agreed to the step-aside terms

no idea when (if a date has been announced, i'm not aware of it) but my guess is February

it will seem strange to see the WBC light-heavyweight strap back in circulation

that said, it's also pretty clear "superman" ("superchicken" ?) wants nothing to do with Alvarez

Beterbiev destroys him, sorry but Artur is a specimen, a highly bred warrior from the ancient times. It is said his ancestors resisted the Mongol army despite being outnumbered 4 to 1.

Why would you even post a head to head comparing a guy who is retired against an active fighter? Oh, because you have the right? Ok, ok. Not a serious boxing question.

once beify beats an elite at LHW, or beats LHW world classers comprehensively on the trot (not just one, in Kollig), we can pass judgement and say he would pound out cowardzaghe. Chickenson says hi.

Yeah but you're talking about a guy who has been tested against one who hasn't. How do you even ask and answer that question honestly?

Thats a good argument, the slickness of the Dragon could be a factor here, as is his Italian and Welsh heritage.
