So it looks like Kell Brook is stepping up to 154lbs and his opponent is being announced next week. Who does everyone reckon he will fight?
Rumours that Sam Eggington is an option but I personally cannot see that happening. Liam Smith is an option but I think Kell would want an easier fight after coming off two losses. I have noticed that the European title is vacant at the moment - is this an option as he is at a new weight? As a big brook fan I hope he fights a top 15 opponent to get a win under his belt and then aim for a world title again if his eyes are completely healed.

Lubin, Charlo, Hurd etc would all brutalise Brook at 154.
It will be a steady opponent next, with no real plan to build towards any of those guys which is wise.

In the meantime, team Brook will pray that Khan finnally throws them a bone if he fights again so they can cash out.

special k went from being an exciting prospect to looking to cash out, sadly missing the crucial mid point, where he was a respected champion.

really a shame, as a fan it annoys me so i cant imagine how he feels. he needs a promoter who believes in him, rather than one who uses him for self promotion

Won’t be Smith as Smith is #1 contender to Ali. Well unless the money on offer is too good to turn down.

I think Smith beats Ali after watching the Cotto fight. So I think Brook will have a tune up or two and then target Smith’s title.

Personally I'd like to see him in with Hurd, Brook's uppercut rocked GGG's world, can you imagine what he'd do to that plodding lummox who's a sucker for uppercuts? Hell Jo Jo Dan who got blasted out of the ring in 4 by Kell and dropped 4 times, went 6 with Hurd, and never went down, his corner just pulled him out. Hurd is a very winnable fight for Special K.

I thought you were a Brook fan?

That fight doesn't end well for Kell and Hurd is a much bigger hitter than Spence.

    Hurd will ruin Kell's life

Trout was popping Hurd's head up like a rock 'em sock 'em robot the entire fight, if your boy doesn't learn how to slip a goddamn punch, he's gonna get stretchered out of the ring one of these days, and as evidenced in the GGG fight, Brook hits a lot harder when he isn't drained, and may very well be the man who does it to your glorified punching bag.

I think Brook could pick up a title at 154 with the right tune up fights prior, 154 isn't the monster division it's cracked up to be, lots of good fighters but none are exceptional, I would give a Kell a chance against any of the top 154 guys.

I think brook should fight Sulecki. A high ranked unbeaten fighter but not a great KO record. He can than think about titles as he is a match for anyone in the division and that includes Hurd and Charlo

GGG was so embarrassed a 147lber had the cheek to hit him like that he jumped up in shock, he was never even buzzed by Kell.

Kell might land a few shots on Hurd but Hurd's size would be too much. Trout is much bigger than Kell and he looked like a runt against Big Jarrett.

When you're as big as Jarrett you don't need speed, he will hit Kell from the other side of the ring and his uppercut is a game changer.

Kell has demons with his eyes, he will be thinking about them the whole fight and I think that will drain him as well as a 180lbs bruiser raining blows on him.

Hearn said it will be a in march then for sadam Ali wbo title. But this only happens if Smith takes side step money, which i don't he will as it's a very winnable fight v Ali.

He should fight Cedric Vitu. He's ranked #1 with the IBF so would make him mandatory for Hurd who is probably the most beatable out of the current champions.
