Why not Big Baby in the US? Wilder fight will happen in the UK, Hearn was clear about that

Joshua would currently need to take a pay cut to accept a 50/50 split. Would you agree to do you current job for less just so your company could hire one extra person and give some of your salary to pay for his wages?

We all want to see this fight, but both of them are professional athletes and have to be paid their worth. I wouldn't accept a job for less than minimum wage and they won't accept a fight for any less they know they are worth. But currently only one of them is being realistic in regards to what they are worth.

How do you know he needs to take a pay cut? We don't even know what the purse would be, nor the projected earnings.

But yes, I do loads of unsalaried work for the good of those invested in my career. Some things are vocational as opposed to just capitalistic.

Only one man is being anything about their worth. Wilder says he'll take 50/50,Joshua hasn't said what he'll take.

Yes we do bro. But dont hold your breath cuz I dont think it will happen in 2018. In the meantime I want to see Deontay vs top opposition. Breazeale is fine I guess. Then maybe Ortiz, or Whyte, HW isnt that deep, but still

Time will tell. I don't care how much they get paid. I just want the fight.

He even said he's willing to take or give a 60/40 cut in rematch...? Is he saying if he loses he then will drop to 40% or is he being GENEROUS and offering Joshua 40% if he wins?:confused::confused::eek:

Miller isn't a champion and is only well known on the East Coast while Wilder has headlined in Vegas before. Also, The T-Mobile Arena has never hosted a Heavyweight World Title fight and the Organizers of the Arena were willing to put up big money with Hearn to stage the Joshua-Wlad rematch. Through proper promotion a Joshua-Wilder unification would do bigger numbers and would give the organizers of the arena what they want.

If AJ fights and beats Parker then AJ is going to create even more drawing power than he has now, lol

Meanwhile, if Wilder gets past Dominic his will stay relatively the same as he still will not have stepped up, again, lol

Thus IF AJ gets past Parker he will have even more drawing power over Wilder than he does now.

It would be funny if Parker beats AJ and then turns around and offers Wilder 30% or nothing, lmao,

If you want the top drawing guy you accept LESS so as when you beat him you can then charge MORE, just as its always worked.

That was the plan since Jay Deas set his eyes on him one day in Tuscaloosa gym

Only they would've never done it without Haymon and Sulaiman.
Most protected fighter out there, worse than Adonis

We know because at the moment Joshua brings almost all the money. Sure this fight will generate more money than a bog standard Joshua fight, but can you seriously see it generating double the current revenue which would be required for both men to be paid the same and Joshua not to take a pay cut?

Joshua/Pulev had a reported $20 mill payday for Joshua with Pulev getting $5 mill. That means Joshua and Wilder would need to generate $40 mill, that's $1 mill more than Joshua/Wlad generated which broke the UK PPV record.

Wlad's RTL contract sees him generate about $7 mill, so that means SKY PPV generated $32 mill. Wilder at the most has had NBC pay $2 mill for the first Wilder/Stiverne fight. Lets be generous and say NBC pay double that and pay $4 mill for Joshua/Wilder that sees a combined purse of $36 mill so Joshua is forced to take a $2 mill pay cut.

Know you'll say what if a US cable network pay for the fight. Well HBO only paid $3 mill for Wlad/Jennings. But once again lets be generous and they double that even though HBO purse strings are tight at the moment. Well once again Joshua takes a small pay cut. Without US PPV Joshua will likely take a pay cut if he gives Wilder 50% and currently this fight won't do PPV in the US which is why Hearn is saying it has to be in the UK, if there was a chance of US PPV it would be in the US to suit US fans.

Just because Wilder says he's worth 50% doesn't mean he's worth 50%. And as for Joshua saying what he think he is worth, well Hearn thinks he's worth more than 65% against Parker, so he's worth that at the very least in Hearn's eyes for a unification.

Didn't I hear Wilder recently say something like "it's isn't about money, it's all about giving the fans what they want and it's all about legacy"?

Oh so now it's all about splits, money and whatever else he can drag up as an excuse not to actually fight Joshua.

Wilder is an embarrassment to himself, his fans and US boxing.

I honestly don't think it's ridiculous for this fight to generate 40+ million.

Joshua is meteoric right now. He will sell out any stadium in England, he has none boxing fans buying his fights just for the event.

Plus, as I said mate, Joshua hasn't actually stated what he'd be willing to fight for. We know they valued Parker as 30-70, we don't know what they value Wilder as.

Yep, he can pretend and say it's not about the money but once again his words are empty. If he really wanted the fight now he'd under cut Parker and force Hearn to take the fight or look bad, but he won't do it because he doesn't want it now. Fight will make more money later, Hearn knows it and so does Wilder.
