Lives up the road from me. Nice bloke ! Subtly very good too. I'm sure he could've done much better but just fell in to the journeyman role !

he was definatley better than his record and could have had more wins but i agree he did have the journeyman mentality .

when he wanted to he could give any fighter trouble / he had long arms / the unusual cross armed defense / just lacked power / but if i could model myself on a fighter / given that i know my own abilty then it would be peter / if you are not good enough to be a champ / then being the most tried and tested teak tough journeyman in the sport would be enough for me.

Everytime I see someone post SRR, i automatically think of Paul Pender who was i think the only fighter to beat Robinson twice. Im a veteran and recovering drug addict and alcoholic, so i was in this substance abuse program at the Bedford VA in Bedford MA. Pender died there and spent the last four or five years of his life there due to a degenerative neurological disease like dementia. He died i think back in 2002 but was such a character that the old time employees go on about his stories like they were yesterday. At the end he tragically couldnt even remember his wife or kids, but died knowing full well he was the champ, and swaggered around like it too.
