Wilder "50-50 with Joshua or no fight"LOOL wilder doesnt want to fight anyone

Deontay Wilder is ridiculous.

 

Maybe it does more than $40 million but currently there's no way of knowing. Even if Joshua can again beat the PPV record and perhaps somehow squeeze more seats into Wembley stadium to pack in a few more fans, it would need to generate quite a bit more to make up the difference between what Wilder and Wlad generate and bring to the pot.

If Wilder somehow brings $4 mill to the pot which is more than double what he usually does, that's a short fall of $4 mill. If they sell out Wembley stadium again they'll needs to break the UK PPV record and sell 1.65 mill PPV's to ensure Joshua gets his usual payday. There is no guarantee this fight does more than Joshua/Wlad when Wlad was a bigger draw than Wilder by some margin.

 

As I said, I want to see the fight, I don't care enough about either man to worry about that they get paid.

I don't agree we should empathise with these men. They have people to worry about their finances, we are here to worry about who they fight.

Same way the kids I teach and their parents don't care about how much I get paid, they just want the best education every time.

 

Yeah i agree with what you're saying, however, that doesnt change the fact that traditionally the bigger draw gets the bigger slice of the pie, Wilder is trying to change that.

Wilders fast becoming a joke and even his most ardent of fans must be growing tired of the man,remember his big announcements this year,starting in April he did about ten of these “ive got a big announcement” in the next few weeks coming up and yet everyone of us here inc MVC all knew the big announcement was Stiverne,this so called HW champion has literally held that belt hostage and let’s have it right after his Arreola fight he said he’d be fighting a top ten guy next and yet here we all are still waiting for him to fight anyone,someone.
Michael Montero thinks this fight won’t happen until 2019 anyway.

 

It always should matter as a fan if it stops a fight getting made. If a fight gets made I don't care who gets what percentage... But Wilder is clearly not trying to make the fight with this demand and thus I care.

We know Joshua want's more than 50% that's for sure, otherwise Hearn would have said that the 50/50 split was never going to happen.

Fight was never going to get made now. Hearn for ages now has been saying Wilder would happen after Parker and Wilder has done nothing to make Hearn change his plans. Asking for 50/50 when Parker only wants 35% is Wilder basically saying he doesn't want the fight either now. Both sides know the fight makes more money later on, ideally in a football stadium in the summer when the football season is on a break.

I think your view of only caring about the fight is idealistic to say the very least. Sure what they get paid doesn't really matter to any of us, I personally couldn't give a **** either. But boxing is a business we can't just ask them to forget the finances for now and decide afterwards what each of them is worth. Before any fight is agreed the all the terms must be agreed including the purses, that's just how it works.

That is true. I'd guess around 60%+ judging by the Parker negotiations and Wilder having the American market. That plus Hearn stated Wilder isn't worth 50/50.
