And from neighboring Venezuela, anybody remember Miguel Acosta? Perhaps the most p4p exciting man in boxing for a couple of years. (had dazzling skill, could genuinely crack with pinpoint accuracy...but also supremely vulnerable and with just enough defensive gaps to be exploited; was dropped additionally in many of the bouts other than his stoppage losses.

Guess fighters are cursing themselves with ant variant of that nickname.

Ah yes, the ironically named dynamic duo of the "Chin Checkers"!!!

 

Ola Durodola and (although he has only one official stoppage loss) Lateef Kayoed. Behind their p4p #1 all-time glass cannon king Herbie Hide, these guys (and I could swear there are some other well-known ones whose names escape me) are the vanguard putting Nigeria on the map as the GC capital of the Dark Continent...much as Colombia is the GC capital of the Western hemisphere, the Philippines the GC capital of Asia - and... Poland, maybe?, the GC capital of Europe.

 

Melvin Manhoef would be the ultimate combat sports example of a glass cannon.

 

We should make another version of this exact thread for the MMA forum.

Basically every KO artist in MMA fits the definition of a glass cannon, with relatively few exceptions.
