If Lomachenko dominates and stops Master Splinter/Squirtle, does he become the P4P King?

    Depends on how he wins.
He has to dominate and/or stop Rigo to become the #1 in my opinion. Rigo is top notch, but is moving up 8lbs.
This is like Floyd vs Marquez back in '09

Salido's stock would go up, but still clearly under the beltline.

The weight classes are low enough that it's not that big of a jump...

Rigo is going up 8 pounds, yes, but Lomachenko isn't a big dude. He will be 138 max... smaller in size than Donaire/Amagasa/Marroquin on fight night. If Linares were to fight at welterweight, he would be going up 12 pounds, and then fighting cats that are like 165 on the fight. The size really starts to make a difference at light welter.

I voted yes, with a caveat around the size of the fighters once they are in the ring. If there is a HUGE size disparity, it becomes less significant, obviously.

If he "destroys" him or dominates almost every round I think so.

No, because the cheating fraud ducked the rematch.

If Crawford can be considered p4p #1 by beating indongo lol it's a no brainer.

Size is even guys. Forget weight and pounds. Neither of these guys have ever fought in a style where they impose their size. Neither is especially heavy handed but both have pop.

Loma is 2in taller, Rigo is 2in longer.

Skills carry the day. Winner is P4P #1.

Rigo has serious pop. Donaire was once iron-jawed, but Rigo had that boy terrified and I think he broke his orbital bone.

If he walks away the winner Loma will be p4p king. If he dominates or wins a close decision that won’t change anything. Rig as well. Whoever wins this fight is the #1 p4p fighter in the world. Simply because these are two p4p ranked boxers fighting one another in a championship fight.
