Well it depends on who's interests your looking from.

I'm sure both promoters can defend their decisions until they're blue in the face, I'm sure both can argue the others position is nonsensical.

What's nonsense is that as a fight fan I'm being denied a fight.

Ultimately they'll do what they'll do, I don't have to be happy about it, and if I can't vent on a boxing forum where can I vent lol.

See that's the difference between me and you, I'm not a fan nor a hater of either man. My interest is only in seeing the fight.

I don't care about the blame game, i just wanna see the fight and I bemoan the fact it looks further and further away.

Wilder hasn't made an offer, neither has Joshua. Literally all we have is Wilder saying he wants 50/50 and Hearn saying he's delusional. It's ridiculous that these two can't come to an agreement.

I don't care who gets what pay or what percentage, as long as an agreement is reached.

But do you think Wilder deserves 50/50?

Wilder made 1.4/1.9 m against Stiverne. AJ made 10/11 m against Takam.

Does Wilder even deserve more than 5 million from a marketing standpoint?

The point I wanted to make is no one can make Wilder fight. He will dodge until he is backed into a corner. Offering 50-50 might be the only way to get him in the ring. I think Joshua will eventually want that fight bad enough if he can get past Parker and the likes of Povetkin, fury, Ortiz, and Miller. Wilder could drag it out for years.

Parker has made all the right moves to secure himself the AJ fight.

For a start he fought legit competition Takam/Ruiz/Fury, surpassing Wilder's 9 years resume in just 18 months.

He's also not deluded enough to believe he deserves 50/50, he still gets a huge payday taking 30%.

I truly believe Wilder has never wanted the Joshua fight, it's all smoke and mirrors. Why break the habit of a lifetime?

Whilst AJ and Parker will have a mega-unification, Wilder will no doubt fight someone in the back streets of Alabama.

What a joke Deontay Wilder is.

The bum should be made to fight Ortiz. Breazeale might be his toughest career fight (since Nichols ) albeit.

Here in America yes. Over seas, Hearn won't give him 50-50. That's why I wait for negotiations.

Is anyone honestly surprised at this? Wilder and Joshua will never get made. I mean that literally, as in the fight will not happen. The is just another smoke and mirrors extravaganza designed to whip up fans' hopes and leave them hanging. I really don't see why anyone is still wasting time on it.

Hearn has already conceded this would be a bigger money fight in the US than it would in the UK. He and Finkel did the numbers on both and agreed that holding it in Las Vegas would make the most $$$.

If Wilder decides to drag it out for years then he'll miss his pay day because either he or Joshua will lose at some point.

I don't think Hearn and Joshua will go to 50/50 even if Wilder does hold the belt hostage. They can quite happily sit in the UK selling out stadiums fighting guys like Takam. I don't think the WBC belt really matters that much to Hearn or Joshua, they said they'd happily dump the belts to rematch Wlad in Vegas if needed.

What they really want from Wilder is an opponent that opens up the US market to them. They had hoped Wlad in Vegas would do that but Wlad then retired. Now Wilder is their best shot at this.
