Very sure, huh? Based on what? He took some of David’s best and they literally didn’t do anything. You say he fought cautiously, I would say he fought smart. Why risk getting tagged with a perfectly timed shot (see: PAC-JMM IV) if you don’t need to?

Anyone with a great chin can still get the lights shut off if they play with fire too many times. Did anyone think Manny had a glass chin before he got slept? Nope, some would rate it high with the thunder he ate over the years.

And if you think GGG wouldn’t win a slugfest against anyone he’s faced, you’re wrong. He just knows risk outweighs reward, as he’s the better, smarter fighter than anyone he’s been in the ring against. Systematic breakdowns for easy wins not only keep your undefeated record intact, it also prolongs your career.

He barely got hit against Lemiuex. They billed that fight as Hagler Hearns part 2 and even GGG predicted it to be a war.
When it came down to it he boxed safety first behind a jab and didn't put the foot down on Lemmy until he was sure the wheels had came off.

The Canelo fight was telling , as he would never put his chin in harms way in order to apply the pressure. He knew he needed to dominate or stop Canelo yet his reluctance to trade with a light punching JMW very nearly cost him his first loss.

I was at the Lemmy fight and he fought the smartest fight he could. It was very calculated and eliminated almost all risk. Yet he got tagged a couple times and it didn’t faze him, at all.

The Canelo fight was somewhat telling, I agree with you. His unwillingness to go to the body was perplexing. I think it had something to do with the magnitude of the fight and once he got comfortable and started rolling, he was prepared to go to the scorecards instead of risking getting hurt. It almost looked like he was given explicit instructions to avoid the body. If he neglects the body in a rematch (should they get it on again), that would be shocking and very telling.

I’ve seen GGG get tagged by everyone he fought and obviously he’s shaken everything off with ease. The guy eats a punch and marches forward. Confidence takers.

He is no doubt the toughest guy at 160 the only way to beat him would be to try and outbox him if Jacobs & Canelo couldn't hurt him than I doubt anybody at 160 can. The only way I see him getting hurt is if he moves up in weight.

Likely has that Hagler type chin, meaning the average puncher wont dent it.
Golovkin is extremely smart, meaning he rarely gets caught off guard. Add to that a **** ton of experience and an iron chi... well here is the result.

Brook hit GGG with a uppercut hard enough to lift GGG off the ground and GGG literally ignored it and kept coming.

Robinson was knocked down by at least 13 different fighters, many of these at welterweight. LaMotta was knocked down late in his career when he moved up to light heavy. Hagler was knocked down by Roldan once, but it was later ruled a slip on appeal. GGG never.

Of course he can be. Any fighter that seems like they can't be hurt just hasn't met the right punch from the right fighter yet.

The punchers that Robinson fought are on a different level to the scrubs that GGG has fought. Lemieux... LaMotta was knocked down by a brutal puncher, at light heavy at the end of his career. Let's see Golovkin fight Stevenson, or Beterbiev. Hagler was not knocked down, he was grabbed and dragged down... you don't even know the man who actually hurt Hagler with a punch...

Well it certainly rocked his back and maybe off his feet, that uppercut that Kell threw was thrown with so much technique so even with Kell Brooks power at a lower weight class it didn’t really matter as it was a perfect uppercut and I’m sure would of put Jacobs to sleep and load more barring that other iron chin Canelo.
Actually Michael Montero(best boxing site on YouTube)thinks that Golovkin will lose More than once and could meet a young hungry dog that could hurt him, that said his chin is unbelievable,on Box Nation one of the commentators said that it must be a nightmare facing Golovkin as in his words he’s at you all the time for every second of every round.

    Empty statistics.

Let's take LaMotta. The points you raise against him haven't kept his resistance to punches being nominated by numerous scholars as not just the greatest in the history of the middleweight division, but the history of the sport period.

Think about why that might be.

The guys who knocked down Robinson were on a different level? What were they, aliens? You mean Mitsos Grispos, Oliver White and Artie Levine? Or Rocky Castellani, Joey Archer and Wilf Greaves? Please defend these guys. I can't wait.
