Why doesn't Wilder and Parker forget about AJ and fight each other? They could both agree to 50/50 one would think? Is it because the fight wouldn't make them nearly as much as the 30% fighting AJ? Im thinking thats the reason?? Any other ideas?
They have probably realised they would only get paid a fraction of what they would against AJ. Neither fighter has a fanbase or is PPV-worthy, unless you count Parker's 50 Youtube buys. That said, the winner would at least strengthen their negotiating stance with Hearn. But the loser would kiss goodbye to that huge payday with AJ. It's probably a risk neither fighter wants to take at the moment.
obviously they won't make as much fighting each other as opposed to Joshua. but on the other hand is Joshua going to limit himself to fighting bums from here on out? no one obviously will deserve the split Wlad did. please do not fight complete bum ass whyte again!!! Ortiz, Povetkin, Pulev, please find someone other than whyte.
the only way Wilder and Parker would fight each other before fighting AJ imo is if they were both 100 confident they would win. If i know i can win i want to wipe any of my top comp off the map so as more and more roads only keep pointing to me. I dont think either Parker or Wilder is that confident, although if i had to pick one guy it would be Parker for sure.
Parker and wilders team have already talked and stated there is no money in that fight what's so ever.
They did try to make this fight after Joshua beat Wlad. Wilder called out Parker right after Joshua beat Wlad, said on more than one occasion that he wanted Parker first then Joshua. Parker's team in response reached out to Wilder's team, they had talks and compared numbers and nothing came of it. Clearly neither of them could draw anywhere near enough to warrant them unifying. http://www.skysports.com/boxing/new...sidering-deontay-wilder-and-hughie-fury-bouts Fact is all roads currently lead to Joshua. They can pretend they have other options, which they do, but all those options pay peanuts compared to what 30% vs Joshua would bring and take several defences over a few years to accumulate.
Yep, that’s the reason. Hell, even Browne wants Joshua as part of the agreement, should Parker go back on their agreement and fight Joshua. Regardless of what they say, it’s all about money.
Also if AJ is so difficult to deal with how come Wlad and Martin had no problems dealing with him? Martin was approached by Parker and Wilder when he was IBF champion. But the deals was concluded pretty quickly with Joshua and Hearn. I mean the man thinks he walks the earth like a god and yet happily took his $5 mill guaranteed payday and ended up getting more than that after the PPV numbers proved to be higher than expected if reports are to be believed. But Parker wants at least double that with 35% and Wilder wants even more than that, perhaps at least 4 times what Martin got. Wlad, who also supposedly is difficult to deal with came to an agreement pretty quickly in comparison. Sure it was 50/50 but this was Wladimir Klitschko the guy seen as the top heavyweight over Joshua and behind Fury at the time. This was a unification on pretty even terms. AJ then wasn't earning the kind of money he is now, he was getting about £2 mill for Molina and Breazeale so 50/50 then was reasonable. If either Joshua or Wlad were making over £10 mill per fight as Joshua is now, you bet it wouldn't of been 50/50.
