I think that Sullivan Barrera win may end up looking pretty good also,I think only couple of the Russians can beat him but if his chin can hold up he can he at least beat Beterbiev.

the way Andre Ward made Sullivan Barrera look ordinary is just as impressive. he made easy work of Barrera who is now considered one of the best of the division. but I agree Ward had to fight his heart out to beat Kovalev, especially in the 1st fight. that only shows what Ward's made out of, and that as a true champ he refused to quit. he's not exactly fun to watch, or very fan friendly but undeniably one of the best.

 

Nut shots, and robbing Kovalev twice is what he'll be remembered for.

Yes pretty much spot on,actually his win over Barrera is more impressive as he boxed his way to that win which is all the more annoying as Ward sussed out long ago that in the big mega fights he could jab,clinch n hold his way to victory knowing he had a Ref who wouldn’t enforce the rules and take points away,not to mention his habit of coming up with the head,low blows ect.
Andre Ward is a beast and doesn’t seem to fear anyone I’ll give him that much but his style were it copied and used by others would be the death of boxing.

 

Ward NEVER LEGITIMATELY beat Kovalev

 

It's almost as impressive how he rustled the feathers of so many on here who are still in denial about the result, even though last time I checked the record books there's still 2 wins for Ward over Kovalev including stopping him to secure his place as the P4P best at the time.The denial about Wards wins wont matter either when Ward takes his place as a 1st ballot HOFer

 

Andre Ward would fight Kovalev for the third time if the latter became the Undisputed World Lt.Heavyweight Champion again.

 

Kovalev beat SOB in the first fight by decision, in the rematch SOB had to cheat by landing testicles blows which has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt! If a rubber match could be fought in neutral territory with neutral judges, referee and boxing commission, then Kovalev by kockout!!! Since SOB has had his judges, referees, boxing commission, they should have the fight in Moscow with Russian judges, referee, boxing commission, after all, it's the world championship not the American championship! Why does the fight always have to be with American judges, ref and boxing commish? SOB will have it no other way. Kovalev did not even get paid for the last fight either, SOB had to have it all.................
