I hate to break it to you all, but size DOES matter. When 2 fighters are equal in skill like Lomachenko and Rigondeaux are, the bigger man usually wins.
Post his previous fight night weights at 130. I was going from memory but I thought Loma was like 139 at featherweight on fight night. Add 4 pounds to that at 130. I could be wrong though.
Loma hasn't weighed 140. He only moved up to 130 because he was being ducked, avoided, or unification match ups at 126 weren't going to get made. He weighed 1lb and 1½lbs less for 2 of his last 4 fights at 130 (possibly 3 as the weights weren't announced for one of them) than he did in against Gary Russell and Gamaliar Rodriguez down at 126 and that was just 1lb more than he weighed for Salido in his 2rd pro fight. When there is a major difference in innate abilities/skills. Here they are similar in ability and skill, therefor size will matter. Lomo has every advantage to have here.
No I think you're right he usually rehydrates to just under 140. The clause isn't to limit Lomo but to keep him capitalizing on the size disparity and hydrating over normal rate.
I thought I made it clear, Evidently, There's evidence of mass confusion, and strange delusion. Clarity, is why I came back in here. To worry about who is bigger in size and weight, We just don't give a damn on this side. the contract is signed, and it's over for Loma Lightwork. Tell Rigo, I said, we know.
100% this, it was to stop him tactically re hydrating way over what he usually would to have an even bigger advantage.
