A dominant win for Ali - he was all wrong for straightforward upright somewhat plodding and predictable one-paced and stamina-challenged Evander who is almost tailor-made for him to look good.

Holyfield is exactly the type of boxer Ali would want to fight. No worries at all for Muhammad Ali here.

I fancy Holyfield, if at his best, in this. Lots of similarities between Holyfield and Frazier (relentless, great chin, varied punch combos etc) that Ali had so much trouble against.

Holyfield would probably be another trilogy for Muhammad imo. Ali would be facing the most complete heavy hes ever fought. Tight tight fight with Holy winning one of them minimum. The stamina issues you talk about for me was when he was fighting naturally bigger and stronger men most the time, he also had heart problems that affected a couple of performances !

Norton was a poor mans Holyfield in some ways for me, not knocking Norton, hes good, hes only problem was punchers. That's why he done well with Ali, and that's why I have Holy winning at least 1 v Ali. Your comparison with Frazier is there too. Ali would be competitive and win some v the 90's lot, but he picks up loses fighting guys like Holy Bowe and Lewis imo. Holy is good enough to just box with Ali and not roughing it up

With Alis expertise in clinching and mauling combined with the amount of fresh-air shots missed by Holy - I wouldnt be surprised at al if Holy was stopped by exhaustion alone - never mind Alis punches cutting him down....easy work for Ali.

By 'heart trouble' I assume it was self inflicted and drug-induced by Holys own drug cheating and steroid use.

    Holyfield would win.
Ali have poblrms with hookers, not just in the hotel room, bit also in the ring - BIG problems.
Ali would look like after the Norton or first frazier fight - destroyd!

No, it was a heart murmur, it happens. Holyfields the same size as Ali, with a better infighting game. He might be able to do stuff in the clinch. Holyfield was also a clever fighter. Nobody has an easy time with Holy ever. I struggle to think of anyone under 220 that Evander doesn't beat or push to the limit where rematches are involved ever. With regards to his steroid abuse, yes its blatantly obvious, but with the fighters that have been found out over the years and question marks over some others, I no longer give a **** !

People idolising Ali far too much. Like its a given Holyfield gets beat by him without taking in to account just how quality Holy was !

Yea, i evn think or, i´m sure, most people dont realy watch ali fights, there just know the first and third frazier fight, not even the second because ali should be DQ for the holding, and the people know the foreman and norton fights, but there dont know how lucky ali was with the refs and judges who blindly score rounds for him.
BTW, what was buster smokin ?

Ali is al wrong for holy as I've explained.

Straight up and down boxers like holy didn't and wouldn't trouble Ali. To trouble Ali a fighter would need to be very unconventional like Frazier and Norton. Not a textbook conventional boxer like holy. I'm not confident holy would even beat many of Ali's "lesser" opponents...such as quarry bonavena Wepner etc etc never mind the foremans fraziers listons.....never mind at all the greatest himself.
